No it's not the sign of you being a bad Mom. It could be anything from the type of dippers you use because I found my daughter would have this rash only when I used Huggies dippers.
The best thing I can tell you is to get some dipper rash cream and they also have medicated baby powder the color of the bottle of the powder is yellow. But try that it might help your baby.
But don't think your a bad Mom because every baby has a rash sometime in their first year of their life. So don't take it out on yourself to hard.

If a baby gets an intestinal illness and has serious diarrhea it only takes about a day before there may be diaper rash, so, no.
Not all diaper rash is alike, though, and babies shouldn't just always have some version of diaper rash because that can be a sign that their mother hasn't cleaned them well enough or doesn't change them often enough.
Its the mothers job to figure out what is causing the problem and stop using whatever it is when the diaper rash is an allergic reaction.

NO!!! At some point, all babies have diaper rash. It's not always caused by not changing diapers timely. Sometimes diaper rash is caused by something the child has eaten, something that the diaper was made out of, or just something that came into contact with the child's skin. Some babies get it more frequently than others r/t sensitive skin. Don't let anyone tell you that you are a bad mother because your baby gets diaper rash!! That's just bull.

I agree with the vast majority of answers. Just wanted to add that my daughter RARELY had diapoer rash until we started her on solid foods. The extra acid caused a slight rash. I didn't see that cause mentioned, so wanted to take note of it.
It is only bad if the mother lets it go, never changes the diaper, and doesn't talk to the pediatrician about it if she is trying all she can and nothing is working. As one person said, her baby had a virus and even the dr couldn't do anything. That definitely wasn't bad because she was doing all she could, and had a dr's help, too. But the mother (and father, for that matter!!) that lets it get to wide open sores, infection, extreme pain for the baby, and a lot of it WITHOUT trying to really do anything for it, THEN it is bad parenting. Actually, that is neglect/abuse in most states. (You should see some of the pictures I have seen. There is no excuse for some of it)

There are some people or couples that believe that. I do not.
My son has had 1 rash like thing on his bum. He had a virus in which he had violent, explosive diarrhea about 15 times a day for over 2 weeks!!! He went through a 60 pack of diapers in about 3 days! It was awful. Because of this his little bum got so red and irritated it actually started bleeding. I used cream every change AS SOON AS THIS STARTED. I even had the Dr prescribe something for his bum and here it is about a month and a half after this and he still has a slight irritation. The Dr said it was perfectly normal considering the virus. AND YES HE HAD BEEN UNDER DR CARE THE ENTIRE TIME, I DID EVERYTHING I COULD AND SO DID THEY. It just happens. I felt so bad, I did feel like a bad parent for letting my son get that bad, but there was nothing I could really do. He is 11 months old and the Dr said that the virus just needed to run its course.

NO IT DOES NOT! Where did you hear these things. Most babies at some point in their diapered life will have diaper rash. Some babies if they poo and its not changed right away will develop a rash because of the acids and such in the stool. I keep my son very clean and yes he has had a diaper rash. I put him down for his nap, went and showered when I got out I checked on him couldnt smell nothing and went about my day when he woke up I went to change him and his rash had begun.
Beating your child, ignoring your child, failing to feed your child and just outright being abusive makes you a bad mother NOT a diaper rash!

No diaper rash does not mean a bad parent. Diaper rash can be caused by a lot of different things. Sometimes it is a yeast infection, sometimes it is sensitivity to the laundry soap, or sensitivity to the plastic in disposable diapers, or the powder you use or don't use, or changing a baby and using diaper wipes and forgetting to air dry, or etc... etc...

Heck NO!!!!! your baby may have sensative skin, the diapers can cause it, the best thing for it incase you want to know is "Pink Salve" and yep that's what it's called, it's in a jar I believe but it works great!!! But anyway don't let anyone tell you it's from being a bad mother, unless of course you leave the baby in a wet diaper for hours then yeah that would be a good reason for someone to say bad parenting.. ..and nope I'm not saying you do that. Good Question!!!

Unless you are purposely leaving your baby in a wet or soiled diaper for extended amounts of time, you are NOT a bad parent.
However, diaper rashes can be a sign of a bigger problem, like yeast infections, food allergies, or viruses. Keep an eye on it. If it spreads, doesn't go away in a few days, or is accompanied by fever, I would call the doctor.

No way! it could just be the diaper, and it not soaking up everything soon enough. If the rash last more than three weeks, then yes you are a bad mother.. JUST KIDDING... Treat the rash, and try a new diaper brand.
