I named my daughter Abigail. In the Old Testament Abigail is described as being both beautiful and intelligent. I thought that this was a wonderful description for a woman.

Well This is our daughters name: AVARI ( we pronouce it Ava'ri or averi) The meaning is contraversal because one site says it means "elvin people" (I believe this is taken from Tolken and the Lord of the Rings)
The reason I named my daughter this is because when I researched it I found the meaning "of the heavens from the sky" aka gift from God... (at least that is my take upon the meaning) Altough I did read the that name Avery has become a popular name for girls over the past few years so it may not be unique anymore.
Warning: if you name your daughter this, be prepared for her to be called Avar'i (avar'ee) We are used to it and prepare for the day she just wants to be called that instead.
M: I heard a name the other day... MIRACLE I really liked it. It sounds really pretty and very feminine, I had never thought of it as a name before. I hope these help! Congrats on your little one.

Unique aside, babies suffer from strange names. If you give your child a name that is TOO unique, she'll be mocked in school, teachers won't be able to pronounce her name, and can you imagine putting 'Pleasant" on a buisness card? There is nothing wrong with unique, just avoid 'weird'. Think about the way the children of the 60's suffered with names like 'diamond' and 'sunshine'! There is a little girl down the street from me named 'angel' (not short for anything), and all the kids on the block mock her ruthlessly. Don't do that to your child!

Why not something classic?
Angelina, Angelica, Abigail, Anna, Penny, Patricia, Meredith, Madeline, Matilda- there are tons!

Gabriella isn't really that common. It's ranked 33rd in popularity, so while it's not totally unique, there won't be too many other kids with the same name. Gabriella is currently rising in popularity, though, so it will probably become more common in the next few years. In comparison, Rachel is number 100, but decreasing in popularity. So currently there are more Rachel's than Gabriella's, but in the future there will more more Gabriella's born than Rachel's. Some other unique names to consider: Abrielle- God is my strength Adaya- God's Jewel Angelica- Messanger of God Arielle- Lion of God Eliava- My Father is God Eliana- God has Answered Jessa- God will increase Moriah- God is my teacher Nesiah- Miracle of God

Nice and unique...possibly, although that's highly subjective. Meaningful...no one but someone who knows you well can give you a meaningful name, because it has to mean something to you personally. And this is about the most impersonal type of forum you will find. However I will attempt...
