So, I lost mine and my husband's first baby. (I had a bad fall on ice.) My mom was telling me about her aunt from her father's side (blood related), who couldn't have kids, and adopted a son, and that son recently died like a year ago or something. So, is it possible that I can never get pregnant if I don't use condoms, the pill, etc? We have a family history of it of some sort.

Thanks!

Talk to your doctor. There should not be any problem but if you are concerned you really need to go to the doctor. A fertility specialist should be able to tell you the best. But chances are because you did get pregnant before you should still be able to get pregnant.

I;m so sorry to hear about your fist baby, but it is possible. Not very likely, but there is a possibility given your family history. If I were you, I would go to your OB/GYN and get a pre-natal check up. If you are very concerned, talk to him/her about it.

Sadly enough, a very good friend of mine ended up not being able to have children because of an abnormality in her uterus. She was attacked and raped, and the scarring from being stabbed made her infertile.

BUT I highly doubt that will ever be the case with you. =) Good luck.

It's possible, my wife is in the same boat, her tubes are all twisted and crushed, with cysts on both, so, no swimmers even remotely close to the egg. Understandably, this is a very worse case scenario, but, as far family history, couldn't tell you. Then again, history does affect cholesterol, so, you never know. Might talk to a doctor on that one.

I am very sorry for your loss. Getting pregnant is possible again with you because you have already done it. The baby you lost was just not meant to be. Keep on trying and when the time is right you will have a lovely child to love. Best wishes.

Since you've gotten pregnant once, the chances that you can do so again are excellent. Unless you had severe internal injuries from the fall or the subsequent miscarriage, there's very little reason why you'd be unable to conceive a second time.

You did get pregnant once, and if the pregnancy ended as a result of a fall, you may not have any fertility problems.

If you're trying to get pregnant, I would recommend reading the book "Taking Charge of Your Fertility". It will help you chart your cycles so you can know when you're fertile.

If you suspect you're having problems conceiving, contact a gynecologist, and they can refer you to a fertility specialist.

I am truly sorry for your loss.

Its possible bring up your concerns to your doctor and I'm sure theres a test they can run to let you know for sure. Although my aunt was told she couldn't have children and she had a baby after losing 3 babies early in pregnancy. So good luck.

Well, it's possible but Yet, you lost the baby because you fell on ice. You've just proved that you will be able to get pregnant again.
