If you just found out, does that mean you are very early on in your pregnancy? Like 1-2 months? There's shouldn't be much going on in the way of cramps or anything else right now if it's really early. Baby is too small to be causing any pokes and it's much much too soon for braxton-hicks. If you're having pain though, it could be a sign of something serious. During pregnance, it's always best to call a Dr for anything that's bothering you. It may very well be nothing but it's certainly better safe than sorry. Pain around 6th-7th week of pregnancy can be a sign of an ectopic (in the tube) pregnancy. It could also be a sign of miscarriage if during the first 20 weeks.
On the other hand, be prepared that your doc may tell you it's just gas/bloating or constipation caused by hormones that slow your digestion. Here's hoping it's the easy stuff, but definitely get it checked out.

Yes, I had cramps the first couple months of my pregnancy. Right away I had period cramps which I found out later was the implantation of the egg. I had regular cramps after that, my friends and relatives made me freak out and they told me to get ready for a miscarriage, but my doctor assured me that they were very normal. If you cramps are accompanied by blood, if they are very severe, or if you have a fever, I would call your doctor immediately.

Yes, some pain is normal, particularly in the second and third trimester. Pain during pregnancy is generally in the lower back, groin area (usually more of a pressure in the 3rd trimester due to the baby's position) and legs. If you feel pain under your rib cage it usually is caused by the baby's movement - almost like he/she is stretching - massage the tummy and the baby will most likely move). If your pain is constant and you are not able to get comfortable - most definitely let your OBGYN know - they are the best ones to let you know what you can do to relieve the pain - for example prop up your legs on a couple of pillows and possibly (if you are in your 3rd trimester) take a tylenol...but doctor knows best...Best of luck and congratulations

Yes its commen to have cramps in the first part of pregnancy. Your body is changing. If you start to bleed or they get worst then go to ER.
I asked my doctor when i had mine and that is what he told me.

sometimes you can have ligament pains, or streching pains. I had them pretty bad. Call your doctor if you think it is getting worse or if you bleed of course.
