My 4 month baby is still waking up 5 times plus every night. We have been rocking/cuddling her to sleep since she was born and now this is proving to be a problem as she can't get to sleep by herself. We tried sleep training her with the shh pat technique but she just would not stop crying frantically and ended up picking her up again. I am worried that if i continue she will start to associate bedtime with crying. Any advice?

Well, I am 20 years old and pregnant for the first time. I had only met the guy once before and we hit it off very well, we talked and exchanged numbers nothing happened with it. Then we both met again at a party we both attended in december, i drank a little to much then i ended up leaving with him and we had sex. The next morning was really odd, he said that he would talk to me and give me a call later on that afternoon. I hadn't heard from him in almost a month when he called me drunk to hang out, i didn't go over there or anything because i didn't want to be just a random hook up. NOw i don't talk to him and am pregnant but need to tel him but not sure how. DOes anyone have any suggestions?

is there a soft padding for cribs that is still safe in terms of preventing SIDS? My son (6 weeks) will sleep just fine on softer surfaces (like the boppy pillow or my bed, with supervision of course), but as soon as he is in his crib he screams. I'm assuming it's too hard for his comfort, so I was wondering if ther is any sort of safe padding I can get. Like maybe memory foam that's softer yet still firm.

Some women are trying to conceive either a boy or a girl so they ask a lot of times what type of sex positions or thing are used to conceive a baby boy, or what can you do to conceive a baby girl but has any woman reading this ever use the chinese Lunar calender /chinese birth chart to determine whether the baby they had or is having will be either a boy or girl depending on mothers age and the month she conceive? If so, was the sex of your baby the same as predicted on the chinese lunar calender/chinese birth chart ?

If you havent ever seen a chinese birth chart chart www.holodeck.com/pregnancy/chinese-cal.html
its a graft. Its fun to mess around with, even if youre not pregnant.

i was yesterday told that after thinking i was 11 weeks pregnant that the embryo stopped growing (at 9mm) and there was no visable heatbeat.the doctor has given me possible options ( a D and C, to take a pill or to just sit and wait). it is all very upsetting but i just wanted to know what was best as they would not really offer a great deal of advice. also i have suffered with the most awful diahorreah for the last 24 hours which i have been told could be a sign that the body is started to expell everything itself. can anyone confirm this is true.

If I am a healthy person, with no family history of complications, why is it so important to see a doctor during pregnancy. I don't want ultrasounds and fingers up me. I have read a lot about pregnancy's vitamins, complications, and things like that. Couldn't I just have a natural pregnancy and go with out a doc, until I deliver?

plese read carefully before answering :

well me and my girlfriend were masturbating. when she was washing herself up, she had mistaken my semen to be water and was cleaning herself up from deep inside. it was quite deep, her fingers ... when she realized what she was doing. she had *** in her fingers and went around 7 to 8 cm deep in the vaginal canal. well, shes not sure if she has her hymen intact but shes still a virgin and is 15 yrs (im 16). this accident took place around a week or eight days. my penis was never in her and we were generaly masturbating. the only thing of concern is the semen ... is there a serious risk ?! she was cleaning herself up after around 4 to 5 mins after i was out on her hands. im really worried ... cause im from india and this is a crime more than even murdering a person. plese tell me if theres a risk...

I mean, I heard on the radio that slaves only 300 years ago had to do as their masters' wished. Even to be killed at discretion because the laws were that slaves were a part of that person, part of the property.

Now, mothers almost unwittingly kill people because the embryos are the mother's property? It sounds like the same type of thing to me, if a child is inside me, I should a) hurry up and kill it, or b) let nature take its course and care for him/her. Are your children your property?
