Contraceptives don't just protect against pregnancy. The "pill" and other hormonal contraceptives have a variety benefits aside from over 99% pregnancy protection. Condoms protect from STI's as well as pregnancy and giving teenagers condoms is just a matter of public health.
Often, teenage girls have irregular cycles, hormonal contraceptives can fix this problem and it's also possible to decide not to menstrate for months at a time which is actually in some ways healthier. Then there's the fact that 'the pill' reduces risks of ovarian and uterine cancer and that it is often used in the treatment of acne. I'm staying on the pill after my partner gets a vesectomy, simply because I want to use menstrual suppression and 'the pill' softens my pms symptoms. Of course, there are other reasons that teenage girls would go on contraceptives like endo. Clearly, it should not be restricted simply because one of it's uses is to protect from pregnancy.
Secondly, what's so bad about teenagers getting pregnancy protection? They're having sex and there's no need to pretend that they aren't or that they'll stop if we restrict contraceptive access. Infact, all that's going to do is hurt these young women and probably cause the abortion rate to sky rocket and if you make abortions illegal, well then the illegal abortion rate will increase dramatically as well.
In conclusion, yes teenagers should have contraceptive access not only because teenage sexuality is a reality and responsibility should be allowed, but because many women choose to use hormonal contraceptives for the variety of benefits they provide aside from pregnancy protection.

We do not deal with utopias; we must deal with realities.
Adolescents dabble in promiscuity. Infants should not be the result. A young girl should have the means to shove a condom into a rapist's face as self-defense from AIDS, syphillis and all number of things. Events kids don't regret yet shouldn't have to come with a price tag of an entire adulthood.
Yes, we KNOW the "shoulds". Kids "should not" be doing that, parents "should" teach their children better, etc. etc.
I've never seen a medical finding that "should"'s are the most effective form of birth control.

Do you mean should they be able to BUY contraceptives? If that is your question... Yes. I think that anyone who is engaging in sexual activity should have access to the items that will protect them if they choose too. Teenagers have been having sex since the beginning of time... not allowing them to buy contraceptives would be foolish. It wouldn't deter the behavior... it would just make it more risky.

convey them the place? i think of that babies could desire to be allowed to purchase use and carry contraceptives. i'm a teenager who's sexually lively, and that i will truthfully say that whether i did no longer use any style of contraceptive i could nonetheless be having intercourse, so particular particular particular they could desire to. If it is going against their religious ideals (the young human beings, no longer inevitably the mum and dad) then that could desire to be a finding out element for inner maximum use, yet they could desire to consistently be available.

Where are you bringing them? If they are a prescription and they are prescribed for you, then yes you should be allowed to have them with you. There are lots of reasons that girls go on the pill. There is nothing illegal about carrying around condoms, either.

I think teenagers should be allowed to use contraceptives, so they don't get pregnant , and they don't get any diseases.
