My girlfriend has been feeling weird in her stomach and getting headaches. She said she is gets sick when she is around food and she has been a little tired lately. She has an eatting problem. Like she will go the whole day without eatting, but she also said that she has been going pee in the middle of the night and said that it isn't normal for her. She is about a week from having her period. I need to know if she is pregnant. Any answer would be awesome.

The mom says the child wants to, but I think it was an idea put in their head by the mother. Would a 9 year old seriously WANT this? The child is named after a sibling of the father who died before the child was born, to honor and in remembrance of the sibling. So changing the name is going to break Grandmas heart and the dads heart... opinions please.

I dont understand why. i do everything i can to stop it. He cries over dumb things. he cries when u barley touch him. his sister does all that and he cries and cries. help me... i dont kno what to do. it hurts me seeing him cry like that.

'm thirty six weeks pregnant and my doctor wants to do a amniocentesis when I'm thirtyseven weeks because I'm a general diabetic. And they want to perform an inducation, so they want to make sure the baby lungs are mature. But I'm still concern being that I'm so far a long. And I don't really know the risk. An a resident will be preforming the amniocentesis, but a Doctor will be there, but I'm stilll ver scared.

I had unprotected sex December 13. He pulled out but I know that there is always a possibility of pre-***. I was supposed to start my period on or around January 3rd. I have taken 5 tests. I took my first one on January 6 and then thoughtout the next 2 weeks I took the other 4. All negative results. The first 2 tests I took were Clear Blue Easy digital and then 2nd ones I took were EPT. All NEGATIVE but still no period. The last test I took was January 18th. I have been under a lot of stress and with me waiting to start my period it is stressing me out even more, which im sure isnt helping. Wouldn't the pregnancy hormone show up on the test since this happened over a month ago? What are the chances that I could be pregnant? Im so worried!!

I know that pregnant women aren't supposed to eat cold cuts because of the risk of listeria which is almost always harmless to the mom but is often fatal to the baby.

The recommendation is to heat any cold cuts until they are "steaming" which kills the bacteria. Now most of us don't like our cold cut sandwiches nice and steamy but I have found that a grilled ham & cheese is nice.

My question is, if I nuke the ham in the microwave, then let it cool a bit so I can have a more "traditional" ham & cheese sandwich, how long can I let it cool before it becomes a risk again? Could I stick it in the fridge for 20 minutes?

Father wont talk to me and kids get yelled at if they tell me stuff. How do I confront him, without having my kids get scolded by him afterwards. My boys are 9 and 7 yrs old. Examples of abuse is the kids cant talk or mention me in there home. The kids don't bathe, I see them and there ears are dirty, skin has dried up dirt, hair smells. They are left home alone sometimes, they are forced to go to school when sick. Dad and step mom talk negative about me in front of them. They cant have anything I give them. It gets thrown away. My son was sick with a bad headache and step mom left him home alone and told him to go to school. He has a history of seizures too. They have to feed themselves breakfast and make their school lunch. Step mom sometimes wears long night shirts with nothing at all underneath, son has told me he feels uncomfortable about it. How can I get help for my kids without their dad getting mad? Kids are getting scared to tell me stuff do to fear of there dad.

My 19 month ol has been throwing up for 7 days straight now. The worst day was the forst, then he skipped a day, starting doing it again, then skipped another day, etc...etc... I took him to the doctor's after he threw up on the morning of the fifth day and they said what I figured they'd day "it's going around". He threw up once more that day, twice the next day, not at all the next day, then tonight, he threw up again. I want to call his pediatrician but they are probably going to tell me the same thing they told me Friday. I caught this same bug from him and was out a day from work during all of this, but only threw up one day. I am really scared that something else might be wrong with him. Has anyone heard of a stomach flu lasting this long? Should I look around for a second opinion?

I had a c-section 10 days ago and and am still having alot of pain. My OB prescribed more percoset to me today b/c the pain is still at times intolerable. My OB and Ped assure me it is safe and only gets into my breastmilk minimally. I do not know of anyone who has taken a narcotic this long after giving birth. I am soooo worried about its effects on my daughter especially b/c the pharmacist told me it was not a good idea to take percoset and breastfeed. Has anyone taken painkillers and breastfed for an extended period?

I have been getting the Goodstart with DHA and ARA for 6 months now- ever since I stopped nursing. It is the worst ever for clumping- no matter how I mix it (spoon, shaking- all but pouring it in a blender) and no matter how long, my girl is screaming after a few swallows because a clump is clogging the nipple. The last time, I bought the same but not the DHA/ARA (the store was out- big sale) and it doesn't clump at all. What do you think?

I have 3 kids, 2 boys and 1 girl. Everynight my husband and I put our kids to bed. We do the tell a story or read a book, tuck them in and all that. Then we tell them to stay in there bed and go to sleep. It never fails that everynight they get up and beg for something; he called me a name or I need a drink ,oh wait I have to tell you something. We have tried everything putting them back to bed and not saying anything. Takeing toys away. We are just about to lose our minds. Our daughter never does this only the boys. Please Help Us!!!

My girlfriend is still receiving her periods but we had unprotected sex a few times. I'm just wondering if she can still be pregnant? Also, is their any way to tell without a doctor to get a better understanding? She has missed a few days of taking the pill but has taked 2 or 3 in one day.. her last period came 2 days early, and im thinking it's because of the few days missed with taking the pill.. I am a 17 year old male and have a problem. I have had numerous girlfriends in the past, but for some reason, they never want to go all the way. Any time we talk about sex, they seem to be afraid of diseases or pregnancy. We have talked about it and planned ahead even (for safety), but they shy away. It seems to be like this with every couple in high school. Is every high school like this these days?

I am the child's nanny, and this is the first time I have been put so fully in charge of a child's potty training. I have successfully gotten her to sit on her little potty, and occasionally pee in it, but on some days, she refuses to do this, and she always refuses to wear panties or pull-ups. She repeatedly says that she just wants to wear diapers. The child will be three in May, and I have been trying this in earnest for a couple of months, having begun work with the family last Fall. Her training was originally delayed due to a move and to the birth of a brother, and it seems as though we've lost our window of ideal training time. We've tried videos and books; she enjoys watching and listening to these in her diapers and then not using the potty. We are also using a reward system of stickers that is having some limited successs.

Is it ever right to just say, "Sorry, but you are too old for diapers. You will have to wear these panties whether you like it or not"?
