What assumptions would you make of me?

Question

If I told you I was 19, single and mother of two girls.

What would you automatically assume or steriotype me as?

Unfortunately, people usually assume the worst of others. I believe most people would assume you had two children out of wedlock, probably by two different fathers, and you are probably on welfare. They would probably assume you are young and stupid and can't figure out how to use birth control. They probably would assume you are trying to find a man to take care of you and your girls and that you are probably pretty easy. I know that could very well not be who you are, but you asked and that's what I believe most people would assume. Sorry.

I see this all the time with my student's parents. My assumption is generally that these mothers have grown up a lot quicker than most 19 year olds and are very mature for their age and may have lived tough lives at first with the pressures of being a teenage mom. I'm 27 years old, and most of my parents are my age or younger (with children who are 5 or older.) It's very common and though many people judge before talking to young parents, I honestly believe that some of the best parents I've met have been young and have given up a lot for their children.

Usually a negative stereotype. Unless your parents were killed in a car crash or something, and you adopted your younger sisters.

obviously your question can't be answered with out more info. Meaning, what are you doing now? If you started having these children in your younger teen years, have you learned from the mistakes you made? With out a doubt your daughters already have a strike against them. Every child is better off with a two parent (mom and dad) family, this of course doesn't mean you can't or won't be successful. It just means the challenge is greater. Will you rise up and meet the challenge? Your very young, it's not about how you start the race, it's about how you finish it.

Hmm..i think of he became meaning that we pass in a line order, the place the 1st individual to submit judges him, then the 2d poster judges the 1st, the third does the 2d and and so on... yet uh, considering the fact that every person is else doing you, i'm going to easily do a similar. i could say which you're a realist, who is conscious that issues are no longer constantly so clean and straightforward. you will discover distinctive factors to a similar concern, and attempt to stay as honest as a danger. although, you're somewhat solid willed and make a complicated tournament for every person who might attempt to alter your strategies as quickly as this is been set. Hahaha, i'm no longer particularly beneficial how I have been given all that from you avatar, although this is worth a shot. ^_^ And as for Ausaranok, i think of that she is a stylish sort of woman who likes the finer issues in existence (and he or she works difficult for them!) She's unique and self reliant and is well-known with the authentic value of her worth. She has a heat heart and prefers having fewer authentic acquaintances than a lot of sorta acquaintances. She's outgoing, yet in many circumstances purely is going out with those that she already is well-known with to be authentic. Lol, or some thing like that ^_^;

I don't try to make assumptions because more often than not they are wrong. I would think that you probably had to interupt your education to care for your children, If you haven't completed your education do whatever you have to do to educate yourself and make the future more secure for you and your children.Sometimes you may feel overwhelmed with your life but don't give up. You may wonder if you will meet someone who will love you and your children.Some day you will meet someone who is Mr, Right, Obviously you are a young mother who loves her children.Hopefully you don't feel the need to defend yourself against assumptions. and/or stereotypes. Do not waste time worrying what others may think. Do your best each day, that is all any of us can do.Be secure in the fact you are doing your best for you and your daughters.

IF I was the type to assume I would say you started having sex early and that you sleep around. NOT being that way... I say you had twin girls. Not too long ago and you have been with their father for years. Am I wrong or right??

Not sure... I have a couple friends like this... completely different situations. One recently lost her husband in Iraq *grumbles about Presidents who don't know what they are doing* I try NOT to make assumptions.

i would assume you were an irresponsible teenager who is learning a very hard lesson but i am not one to assume i would say even if you were irresponsible or not you are at least taking care of you kids so to me that is being responsible
