My girlfriend is still receiving her periods but we had unprotected sex a few times. I'm just wondering if she can still be pregnant? Also, is their any way to tell without a doctor to get a better understanding? She has missed a few days of taking the pill but has taked 2 or 3 in one day.. her last period came 2 days early, and im thinking it's because of the few days missed with taking the pill.. Her next period is in like 2 weeks.. gimme your thoughts.

Birth control is NOT 100% effective. So yes she still could get pregnant. If she had her period then she most likely isn't but it is always better to use double protection even when on the pill. The combinatoin ensures that one way will prevent if the other fails. Taking two or three in one day doesn't help, just over loads her system on hormones and can actually change her cycle temporarily which could in turn make unprotected sex more likely to get her pregnant. She should take it as scheduled and if she hasn't that day you should not have unprotected sex. Use a condom on those days if you don't use them all the time. A home pregnancy test about 6 days after a missed period would be good if she misses one. Good luck with it all, be careful!

Ha. When I was on the pill, I didn't miss any days, but I got 2 periods in one month (obviously the 2nd one was about 2 weeks early)...and now I'm pregnant. So it's possible.

yes she can still get pregnant. you should always use protection. the best way to get pregnant is by having sex while on your period. i know from experience. it happened twice to my friend. well if you dont want to go to a doctor have her take a pregnacy test. that should give you a clue about where you guys stand. has she gotten any morning sickness?? by her taking so many pills a day its not going to change whether she is pregnant or not. that might be really bad for her. just be careful next time and protect yourself if your not ready to be a daddy

Yea I was on the pill and got pregnant and I also had a "period" after I was pregnant. Although it was lighter than normal but have her take a test so you will know for sure. Good Luck

yes. it's possible. she shouldn't take 3 pills in one day. if she missed that many, she needs to call the doctor and see what to do. if you don't want a baby, or an STD, use a condom, every time! until you have something to worry about, don't. and wrap it up, every time you have sex.

yes a friend of mine did not know she was pregnant because she was on birth control thus still giving her a period until she was 5 months. And she is really skinny.

you can still get pregnant..the pill is only like 92% effective..and also taking any medications will interact with it and she will have a higher chance of getting pregnant..

it is possible, birth control is not 100% effective, the only 100 sure thing is anal sex and oral sex.
