Personally No, I think it sounds to much like a Strippers name but thats just my point of view.
Something like the Name Hannah is very pretty though

Whitney is a beautiful name, cute for a baby, nice for a girl, modern enough fotr a teen, and sopisticated for an adult (thats probably why you chose the name). Did you consider a middle name, because there is is a lot of names that go well with whitney, like:
Alison
Julia
Taylor
Catherine
Carmen
Sandra, and so forth. Also, did you considder the fact that it might be hard for the kid because of the whole Whitney Houston crac addict thing.

I think it's a fine name....however I associate it with Whitney Houston and I'm not a fan of hers.

No. That's horrible. It's a cross between an old people name and a barbie doll name ( yes, barbie had a 'relative' name Whitney).
