I see your point, but have you ever been in a position like the one women who get abortions are put in? Until then, I don't think you can judge. Also, our world is tremendously over populated and the population is only growing. We shouldn't be having babies we can't handle.

I agree that abortion is a very difficult subject to discuss and accept, but at the same time, I can't agree for two reasons.
1. Because it's hard to generalize on there being so many good people "missing" when there could be a lot of potentially bad people "missing" too. So it's hard to say "imagine all the good, brilliant people we're missing!" or the like when we could be avoiding many criminals just as well.
2. Secondly and last of all, it's additionally hard to make a generalization on abortion such as you did. Why? Think about it: let's say you're a 14 year old girl who got raped and, consequently, got pregnant. Let's add that this girl comes from a financially insecure background and has bascially no ability to raise a baby whatsoever. Could you really blame her if she took the decision of abortion? To not have a child, who was conceived in improper circumstances, and could not take care of anyway? I would understand, personally. Another example would be of a grown woman who, on the contrary, had everything to provide for a child yet... the child would be handicapped. Having a strong mental disorder, physical disorders, etc. The woman, and possibly her companion, would (both) choose to end the life of this upcoming newborn before it began to actually prevent him/her having to go through a very difficult life-- when he/she could also die very soon either way. I would, of course, understand this desire to prevent unecessary pain of a small child, and of one's self. Furthermore, not everyone is ready to take care of a handicapped person as their own... and if put for adoption, it would be most likely to say that the infant has a rather poor chance on being taken. I am not denying that there would be some wonderful person, or people, to take in this child, but you have to admit most are looking for the "best" to adopt. Just as a pet, really (though the comparison between a child and an animal may not be the most appropriate to some, I consider that there are a few similarities and I therefore feel quite fine towards using it) .
So, it all depends how you look at it. Although your sources are unknown, we can all regret so many abortions nonetheless... however, I will finish by saying: as sad as these deaths of abortions may be, let's concentrate all the more right now on the children we have alive and in pain. And older.
Thank you for bringing this to our attention and for reading my (and others') opinion(s). Cheers!

Okay and where did you get your info from?
think of all the sadams we would have, all the pedifiles, rapists, drug addicts, murders, abusive people we would have in this world.
I honestly dont see how they could be "missing" seeing as the world is way too over populated.
Even if abortion does become illegal it will ALWAYS be around. CAUSING MORE DEATH. woman would start getting back alley abortions or trying to do them on their own just causing harm to themself.
There are cases such as ectopic pregnancy where the pregnancy HAS to be terminated or both the mother and child will die and theres also rape and many other reasons abortion is performed besides people seeing it as a form of birth control
just because YOU dont like abortion doesnt mean everyone else will feel the same way.
stop being so closed minded and ignorant and do more research on the topic befor you make rediculous posts

I believe it. My uncle and aunt got an abortion and they were married. He made her get an abortion so that he could get rich, which he has, and then make time for a family. If you ask me that's why they're not together anymore.
I think it's very sad however I do think that before people sleep with someone they should realize what the consequences they may have to deal with and that killing a baby before it is born is NOT the answer.

They aren't missing-- they were never born. More than that, they never developed a brain, had emotions or were mentally aware of their state.
Have you ever heard about this boy who was born with his twin attatched to his head? Except his twin was literally no more than a brain, a twisted eye and a mouth. It had no organs at all. When they preformed surgery were they "killing" the growth on the kids head?
No.
I also think you should go to the slums and talk to all of the 15 year olds with kids. All of the crack addicts that have children. Go to a child's aid society and ask about how their drug addicted mothers neglected and abused them because they were either cracked out or spent all of the money on drugs.
Do you really want this to continue to happen? As it is there are already millions of children in foster care or up for adoption. Lets add another 10 million in the US alone.
Try and see what the world would be like then.

did you realise that at the current rate, the earth cannot the sustain the massive population growth. natural resources are running out fast, and unless there is a mass die-off of about 3/4 of the earth's population, humanity will cease to exist anyway.
we cannot have a good future with the current trends, have you notice the thousands of people dying from starvation every day in the third world. WAKE UP TO REALITY.

sorry to break it to you but the world is over populated anyways and we dont need any more people. get out of other peoples business and think about your self. do you really want 900 million more people suffering and living in poverty or 900 million more rapist, child molesters, or serial killers and do we really need any more Brittney spears or other celebrities? you cannot look at one side and not the other. you are truly ignorant stop trying to control what other people think is right u have Ur opinion and other people have theyres...

621,543,983 more must die before we will understand that abortion is wrong. I am against abortion in most cases, but in your case I say lets make it retroactive!

wow those are interesting statistics, but i still believe in freedom of choice. If one is not fit or willing to take care of a child, then it is her right not to have it. We are unable to feed and cloth and provide care for so many living kids today, wha would we do with millions more?

Well, as great as that is to know, can you imagine all the kids who wouldn't have been taken care of and or died. If your so pissed why don't you just tell everyone who is getting an abortion that you will personally take care of their child for them. Let people make their own decisions you asshole. It's not your uterus so chill out.
