Some of those undershirt onsies have such cute sayings that the shirt goes over top... do you ever put that on as a shirt with just pants so the cute saying shows... or does that look sloppy to use them as a shirt?

I use them A LOT. And it's cute -depending on where your going (i.e. good for grocery, friends house, etc.)

No, it does not look sloppy and is usually more comfy for the child (depending on the weather/temperature).

I think that while some of those undershirts are designed to be worn under clothes, mainly for warmth, the ones with cute sayings/pictures are designed to be worn as a shirt, for all to see.

When my little guy still wore onsies, I would put him in one with either pants, shorts or overalls. He tends to get warm easily and hates being dressed in too many layers.
He now likes to pick out similar outfits for his little brother!!

well, I'd say kinda depends on baby's age. Honestly, during the summer I actually let my son run around in only a onesie when it was hot. He went everywhere in one. Cheaper than outfits, easy to carry around several for when he got it dirty, and he was certainly confortable. :) I don't think there'd be anything wrong with it with a pair of little jeans, but then, if it's an older child, over a year or so, I would just get some regular t-shirts with cute sayings on them. Target has some great ones for $7 and under. We got my son one that says "I do all my own stunts" when he broke his arm. He's got another that says "When I'm good I'm very good but when I'm bad..." There's a ton of 'em out there.

they're cool to use as t-shirts! why would the put the words on them if they knew you were just going to cover them up with other clothing all the time? they even make onsies that are a little more dressy, with buttons and bows and stuff. they are great for summer time too!

Nothing wrong with them at all
I would live my child run around the house in hers
I also used them under sweat shirts, sweaters, long sleeve shirts when it was cold as an under shirt.
They are cute

Not sloppy at all! I think it's cute. What's really cute is just the onesie if they are hangin around the house or at someone elses house. Then you get to squeeze their cute chunky baby legs!

I use them as shirts because regular shirts don't stay down properly when you carry babies around.

Now that my son walks I use regular shirts more often, but they are still annoying.

Diaper shirts RULE! (Well that and the ones that have little short legs so you don't need pants either)

As long as it's not too cold, in the cold u gotta use layers... I do like to use them as shirts, but if i have to put another shirt and a jacket on overtop so my son is warm enough, so be it.
