Mine are Angels in company but drive me and my husband nuts alone!! I was just wondering if anyone else has noticed this..

Eg: My 11 year old daughter rarely plays or for that matter even talks to our 4 year old son at home, but when we are out she carries him and plays with him like a perfect big sis!!

My baby is now 6 mths old. She hates new people. And she never warms up to anybody new. She has been like this since she was 3 months old. WHY?? It is so hard taking her to anybody's house. She is fine outside, in a store. But in someone's house, she will just start screaming. Doctor's say that babies should have stranger anxiety until 6 mths or later, but mine started at 3 mths. Is this normal? What can I do to ease her. As soon as she sees a new face she will scream. Sometimes I dread taking her to other people's houses. I hate having to make excuses, like she is tired or hungry. It just makes me feel bad. She screams with my mother in law because she hardly sees her..so my MIL says my baby must hate her, but it can't be. WHAT SHOULD I DO??? People say it will eventually get better, but when, how long will this last?

We've put baby locks on them so they don't slam so hard, but what is his obsession with doing this? It can get quite annoying and we have tried everything to break him from it. He is 21 mo old and the typical curious little boy. We've even let him get his finger caught once to show him that it can be an "owie". I know that sounds mean, but we've tried everything, even scold him, which I hate doing. But nothing is working. Anything else I could try? Hes the typical ornery boy like I said and has recently started throwing tantrums as well. I really don't know waht to do!

My 6 year old daughter is having a hard time at school. She was in preschool from age 3-5 and everything went well for kindergarten last year. Now she hates going to school and won't sit still in class and do her work. She has been sitting alone (not in a group) since the 2nd week of school. My husband and I read with her everynight. She doesn't have problems doing grade 2 level math and is reading at a grade 2 level. Her teacher has been uncooperative. She is always making bad comments like " Your daughter didn't focus today", in front of her.She suggested we get her tested for ADD, our Doctor doesn't seem to think she has it, neither does anyone else that knows her. Basically, I feel my child is a bit immature...she is still only 6 and 95% of the kids in her class are already 7. My husband and I are meeting with the principal tomorrow, the teacher has pretty much indicated she doesn't want to talk with us. At this point I am just tired of punishing my kid, she really is a good kid.

ok, i was just wondering..when you became pregnant, did you notice a difference between "pregnant boobs" and "premenstrual boobs"?

i am asking because it is approx. 4 DPO and i am DESPERATELY searching for a sign of pregnancy..and all i have so far is the semi-tender boobies that i usually have around this time. Occasionally i noticed a quick, sharp pain in my left nipple, and that boob tends to get larger this time of month, but that is all really. they are not an heavier or veiner than usual.

i am familiar with all the signs of pregnancy and have been to ALL the sites,so u dont need to tell me, and i am aware that i can test after period is due..but this is just simply killing me that i do not have signs.. i am just looking for some insight from women who may have experienced something like this.

Thanks so much

My son is 13 months and his poop has become routinely solid. Not dry or pellet like, just clumped together like play-doh. Is this normal since he now eats mostly solids?

my 8 year old daugter refuses (and always has) to go to the bathroom while at school. She holds it all day - her teachers tell me this is distracting her from her work - and goes immediately when she gets home. Apparently, this has always been a problem. I didn't know this until one day I stopped at the store en route home and she burst into tears because she had to go so badly. Why is she doing this? And what can I do?? She just tells me she "won't go at school."

A senator in California is trying to pass a bill that would make spanking illegal, and punishable by 1 year in jail and 1,000 dollars in fines. Although I rarely spank, I feel that none of the states can keep up with actual child abusers as it is, let alone adding a new bill that will cost the state and DHS millions in trying to reinforce it. What does everybody else think?
