ok, first of all, most women probably don't consider abortion "right". it's a very difficult thing to go through, physically, emotionally, and psychologically. most women don't take abortion lightly. and for those who do, it is a sad, sad thing. second, i would hope that all women believe they have a right to choose in any situation. i don't think many people seem to understand the different courses of events that take place leading a woman to consider abortion. it is possible that there was an accident of some sort with whatever form of birth control was used. also, someone above said that if you don't want to get pregnant, don't have sex. it's not guaranteed that you will become pregnant every time you have sex, even if you don't use a condom or other form of birth control. i mean, come on, often enough, it takes some effort to get pregnant. anyway, however unlikely this situation may be, i feel that everyone has a different story and situation, and no one should be kept from making this one decision among a lifetime of decisions. trust me, you may have one point of view, but things can certainly change in an instant when it comes down to a turn of events that can effect your entire life. simply put, i believe that every woman should have the right to choose.

Woman should have the right to choose. If a woman is raped she should be able to get the morning after pill, if a woman finds out that the baby has no heart beat then she should be able to get a abortion. If a woman finds out that if she gives birth to a child then she might die, she should be able to get a abortion. If a woman is in a bad situation or relationship, then she should be able to get a abortion. If a woman wants a abortion she should be able to get one. Its freedom of choice, if they take abortion away, what next are you going to try to make being a vegeterian illegal? Or try to outlaw formula? Its funny a Pro-Life person could meet these great people and become friends with them and these great people could be pro-choice or could of had a abortion. And if they find out, they will turn the other way. Pro-Choice people dont go around judging Pro-Life people, so why do the Pro-Life people judge the Pro-Choice people? In the end no one has the right to judge.

Abortion just because you got pregnant by accident is wrong. You didn't have sex by accident! Abortion because you don't feel like rasing a child is wrong - you could always choose adoption. Abortion because your child may have a birth defect is wrong - there are many parents with children who have a birth defect, and they love their children. Life will be tough at times, but they cope.
However, there are understandably some cases where I can understand abortion. What if the mother's life is in danger, and abortion must be carried out? What if the pregnancy was caused by rape and a woman is just trying to forget such a terrible occurence?

I think there are many reasons that it should be safe and legal early in pregnancy. But after the end of the first trimester, I think the only time it should be allowed is when the mother's life is at stake. I don't agree with either extreme of no abortion or abortion until the baby takes it's first breath. And the "partial birth abortions" are dispicable.

Abortion is both wrong and right as well. Abortion may seem wrong for many of us coz we feel a pure, innocent life is being killed as a result of the pleasure between 2 irresponsible beings!
On the other hand, Imagine school students sleeping around and later aborting their child coz obviously they can't care for the child as the child grows up. Carrying the child in the womb for 10 mths is easy, even giving birth is simple counting caesarians and stuff in today's medical world. Giving the child a good life is the real challenge! So when the couples feel they can't give the child the life it needs, it's best they abort the child. It's sad but I firmly believe in giving the best to your children always. If you can't, dun bother about having children at all!
It's always best to use contraceptives! Being responsible on one's own act!

I think women are intelligent enough to make the decisions that are best for them and those they affect. A blanket law banning abortion is a dangerous thing. It opens the doors for all kinds of limitations on what you can and can't do. What to eat, what to drink, it just keeps going and going.
I don't like the idea of abortion any more than anyone else does, but its not my job to tell people what to do. If the situation ever comes up for me, thats when my opinion will matter. But since, I can't get pregnant, I guess that means I really don't think I should have any say in what people do with their bodies.

Wow.. this is opening up a can of worms. Here is the thing.. and its just my opinion. You cant judge someone and possibly know what it is like living in their shoes. People have alot of different circumstances and unless you know this person and what they have gone thru.. you cant judge them on something they are going to do with their own body. Do I think its wrong.. yes.. but here is the thing. If they make abortion illegal.. girls/women are still going to do it. There will be black market doctors who will perform them and who knows.. they might not even know what they are doing.. which could put the mom at risk. And another thing.. girls would just try to do it themselves like they did before it was legal.. hurting themselves in the process! What it boils down to.. the emotional scarring of the moms who have it done.. and perhaps the conscience of the people who do them.

a believe abortion is wrong but all women have a choice of having an abortion or not it is there decision but altho some women can be unlucky and get pregnant without consented sex(rape) in that term depending on the age of the women then it is okay 2 have an abortion but otherwise i would never get one myself

whether abortion is right or wrong, contraception should be as available as chewing gum, that would stem the need or desire for abortions. Besides that, since men cannot bear offspring they should have no say in this issue. If they could, abortions would be as common as haircuts.
