Who knew we'd all be obsessed with what's in our kids' diapers. Crazy, isn't it? It sounds to me like he's normal. When babies move to eating mostly solid foods and their digestive systems are working well, their BMs look like adult ones. They look more like Play-Doh because they are getting smooshed in the diaper. I wouldn't worry too much about it. You'll still be seeing changes in your child's BMs for months to come. But, if there's a sudden change -- like diarrhea or constipation for days at a time -- you might want to call the nurse for a little advice. I'd say keep watching and, if you feel like you need to, mention it at you son's 15-month appointment.

There is something not right going on here. First, you need another doctor and why would your toddler be able to get poo from the toilet if you are watching him and if you flush your toilet?! You need to be on top of everything your child does. You need to be watching him (her) at all times. Toddlers can get into some very dangerous situations so do a good job as a Mother and watch him at all times. He probably needs some other distractions, maybe you could spend some time playing with him and showing some attention to him.

it's fairly normal.. i do agree with the above comment.. now that he's eating mostly solids his bowl movements are going to be thicker, but keeping him on a steady stream of water/juice/milk will not only make the consistency better but will make it easier for him to use the restroom.. he get constipated, struggle, turn red and hold his breath as much as if he didn't have a significant amount of fluids in his system...

yes is normal but do watch his fluids and fiber type foods and make sure he is getting enough. as long as he doesn't seem to be straining when going and he has regular bowel movements I wouldn't worry. my 20 month old has had rabbit pellet like poop cents she turned a yr. but never seems to have any problems having bowel movements. each person/child is different whats normal for one may not be for another.

Toddlers get constipated easily because they often do not get enough fiber in their diet. See his doctor and ask about what you should do to guarantee he is getting the fiber that he needs at his age.

sounds normal to me
if he starts to cry or has a hard time give him more fiber or a laxative and take him to the doctor
but that seems normal to me
