My neice just went to the doctor for this exact same thing. She had a piece of tissue up her nose, so my guess is there is something up there that shouldnt be. Take him to the doc and have it looked at.

I would take him to the Dr. when my Aunt was young my uncle rammed a piece of paper up her nose and told her not to tell anyone.Well time passed and she started to stink more and more. Finally after countless Dr's appointments it must have dislodged a bit because when sent to a specialist he found the mostly rotted piece of paper and took it out.Recently my niece put something in her nose and didn't tell anyone my daughter and her were playing and my daughter hit her in the nose dislodging it enough for the smell to come out (she didn't stink before) This was Christmas Eve, Christmas Day the smell got so bad in a car drive that they had to drive with the windows down (I live in Canada) She ended up spending Christmas in the hospital having them take whatever it was out of her nose(we still don't know what it was)Once it was out there was a little stinky blood after then it was okay by the end of the day. This can cause serious problems so take him in right away don't wait for morning.

take him to the pediatricition as soon as possible. everyone on here is right by saying that he probably has something stuck in his nose. I did the same thing when i was about 3 it was a piece of foam from a couch. i went for 2 weeks and when they found it it was so infected i had to be on antibiotics for a long time and to this day i still have problems with my sinuses and i am 25. please take him in and tell them to take a really good look up there.

it may be something stuck in their nose, but some children that have recurrent ear, sinus, or respiratory infections often have a horrible smell emitting from their noses and mouths. if that is the case no amount of brushing or batheing will get rid of the smell til all of the infections are gone.

Take him to the doctor, to make sure he didnt shove something up his nose. We watched a 3 year old girl that shoved a fry up her nose and it got rotten and started to smell, or it could be an infection!

This sounds like an enzyme disorder, contact your doctor. In the mean time, if he is over one year of age, feed him a yourgart with live active cultures.

I had the same problem with my child and come to find out she had something lodged in her nasal cavity causing bad breath. I would take the child to the doctor and just have them look. You know kids love to put things where they don't belong!
