Pregnancy & Parenting - 9 January 2007

His problems are mostly with the math (addition) facts sheets and timed math fact tests in class, his teacher just called me and said that she thinks he has given up and he is saying he can't do it. She has tried taking away recess to try to get him to do his mathwork and today she has taken away his P.E. class (which he loves). She has tried getting him extra help from a third grade student and from the foster grandma in the classroom. We have worked with him at home trying different ways to encourage him. Any other ideas on how to help would be wonderful!!! Thanks
The teacher already has him doing the "touchpoint" math to help him, but it isn't doing enough.

I have two sons, Kodee Justin who goes by Justin, and Kaden Jeremy. (justin and kaden) They are 2 year old twins. We are now expecting our 3rd son in March. After a ton of debates we thought we had a name picked, but guess not. Husband decided he didn't like it.
Anyone have any good name suggestions??? Meanings don't matter much, but our last name is Lewis, so we try to avoid L names and names ending in S. Any suggestions appreciated!!!

It started at the beginning of the school year. He does it about 3-5 times a month. I thought it was because his teacher doesn't let him go to the bathroom but he did it during Christmas break too. What should I do????

I would love to give my next child a unique but not overly strange name. For example, I love the name Cain (for a boy) - but I'm sort of superstitious of the biblical reference...he did murder his brother Abel afterall! Am I being silly here?

I'm open to unique name suggestions (boys/girls). Please, if it's main stream, I've heard them all thanks.

I've been puntual on taking my pill at the same time daily. Im on orth trycyclin lo. I just want to know if it is ok if i miss that last day before the plasibos. Can i still get pregnant even though the plasibos will begin the following day?

I like a boy , let's call him Bam, for refferal sake.
Bam likes me very much
but i'm not sure if i like him so much anymore. In the summer, we had an awesome time together, but i barely see him now, and he likes staying at home (just last weekend we were supposed to go to the movies but the kid basically cancelled our plans and held me hostage in his house hahahaha)
and he keeps meaning to ask me out, to be his girlfriend, but his nerves always get the best of him, and he shys away.

at my last visit to the doctors i was 14 weeks, and my doctor said everything looks great, and all parts are accounted for. does that mean the baby is healthy, or can they only find that out for sure through an amnio test? basically, how do you know if your baby is healthy or not?

i have been on the same BC pill for the past four years.....for the past 6 months now i have noticed i that i have become more moody and i have been feeling sick.....i am thinking about not taking it anymore......but first i wanted to know if anyone else has stopped taking it and if they feel better off or on the pill and what are some of the side effects from stopping??? im 19 and was on the pill for acne and to regulate my cycle when i was 15........thanks for the help

Everyday you see people talking about sex and drugs, and they are diong them, too! And people HAVE TO HAVE cell phones and computers. They say they can't LIVE without any technology. And everyday I get up to the news saying, "Jane Doe has been kidnapped," or something like that. Why don't people want to make the world better? Why can't we go back one-hundred years and just start over? I know, there were kidnappings back then and murders and stuff, but not as much. We are literally killing humanity. Why don't people have respect anymore? I do not care if we do not have anymore computers or any of that. I know, I know, I am using one right now, but that is because I have nothing to do, because I am thirteen-years-old and I can't even leave the neighborhood. Thirty years ago you could go where you wanted. Why can't we just do that now?

The reason for this question is as follows: I have a seven year old child by a previous marriage and my present wife has a five year old son by a previous marriage. They interact together, I think as normal children, but as children go, there are times they bicker and tease one another. Our school system has a policy against Bullying- well my Step-sons kindergarden teacher called my wife to tell her my step-son told her (the teacher) that my daughter has been "bullying" him around the house- not "bullying" him at school. Other than what I consider "sibling rivalry", I see nothing more going on. Is there a difference between sibling rivalry and bullying? and- Is it proper for a Kindergarden Teacher to call a parent when a child complains about something which isn't school related?

My husband and I are about to start TTC for our first child. I want to be a mom, and have a child with my husband.....but I AM SCARED. I'm scared of the pain of labor, of being a good mom, of all the changes our life will go through when I become pregnant and when the baby is here. i am 17 weeks pregnant and i am having a green/yellow like discharge, i am also getting pains(both cramps and shooting pains) in my abdomen, it is not constant and goes away after a minute or so
