I feel so badly for you! I'm not sure how much sleep your baby needs, but I do remember babycenter.com having an article about this subject. I would visit babycenter's website and do a search titled "how much sleep."
Of course, if you're concerned you could always call your pediatrician's office.
Good luck! I hope things get better for you both!

Do you allow your toddler to cry for a while or do you get her/him after a few minutes? Children vary as far as naps go but my son has always taken a 3 hour nap from 11-2 (he is 20 months). I lay him down between 11-12 everyday no matter what and after a little bit he goes to sleep and sleeps for about 3 hours. Then at night I lay him down between 8-8:30 everynight. He cries but he eventually gets to sleep. A lot of nights he wakes up and cries for about 20-30min but I never get him out of bed until 6:00-6:30am because he'll think its play time. Maybe if your not doing any of that you can try it and it might help you and your toddler out. Good Luck and Take Care

I don't think so, although it does affect your mental and physical health. I am sure that after 14 months of no sleeping that you feel near death, but, somehow you will make it though! Good Luck!

Exhaustion is merely a vague description of physical well being. One can die of (among many other things) lack of sleep, dehydration, low sodium, low potassium, an electrolyte imbalance...All are conditions brought about from being "exhausted" and all, in extreme cases, are lethal.
