Walking...yes, that's perfectly fine. Walking is good and regular exercise has been shown to help woman go into labor sooner, rather than being overdue and having to be induced. As for the sit-ups, as your belly gets bigger you shouldn't and probably won't be able to do them. Everyone should and does put on weight while pregnant. After the baby comes, you will still have some extra weight, but after the doc clears you, you are fine to go back to whatever exercises you want. Gain the recommended weight (25-40 lbs.) for your baby, and forget about vanity for the next however many months.

Yes, continue! Walking is one of the best exercises for expectant moms. The more exercise you regularly do, the better shape your body is in for carrying the pregnancy and delivering. You don't want to over-do it, so just talk to your doctor about what types you should do and what stuff you should avoid. But exercise is definitely quite healthy for pregnancy! Good luck! :)

Walking is a great exercise to do during pregnancy. Anything that requires you to lay on your back isn't because it pulls blood away from your uterus. If you can find a yoga class for expecting mother's that is also great and it helps you to keep toned without putting stress on your body. Drink as much water as you can. I know the bathroom thing can be very annoying but it will help to keep your metabolism up.

As long as you were exercising regularly before you were pregnant, you can safely continue during. I continued circuit training for nine months (I was too tired at the end) and I played softball for 7 months. My doctor said it was fine but I had to wear a heartrate monitor just to make I wasn't overexert myself. I avoid anything where you are on your back because that affects the flow of oxygen. Walking, swimming, etc are fine.

As long as it's not strenuous, exercise is perfectly acceptable, and in most cases, recommended. I lost all my baby weight after my first (on my second pregnancy now) by breastfeeding and winsor pilates. It is so healthy for you. During pregnancy, it's good to not raise your heartrate too much. It puts undo stress on the baby. What you're doing sounds fine. I wouldn't do too much free lifting or heavy weights. Other than that, go for it!

Not sure about doing sit-ups, but most doctors will tell you to keep up the same leval of activity as you did before pregnancy as long as you are healthy. My advise, is to stay active and ask your doctor about the sit-ups.
I managed a gym for several years and I always asked for pregnant women to bring in a doctors note clearing them for all activities in the gym or letting me know of any restrictions.
All of the pregnant women who were members there, did really well and have beautiful babies now.
Good luck!!

Exercise during pregnancy has been shown to make labor and delivery easier, and is usually encouraged. Moderate exercise such as walking, light yoga, and light weight lifting are usually recommended for pregnant women. HOWEVER, you should always consult with your doctor first.

You are going to put on weight, regardless. Walking moderately is healthy while you are pregnant. You'll find doing sit ups nearly impossible rather quickly. I have an exercise ball I use to do sit up-like crunches. It allows me to continue strengthening my abs while not injuring my back or straining myself.

im not sure what all you can do while your pregnant i would talk to your doc about what is safe, but walking is good i do know that, and you can do that until they tell you not to. sit ups i do know are not a good idea to do. i used to play DDR with my niece and nephew and my doc said that as long as i was doing that before i got pregnant then it should be safe for me to do while im pregnant. i stoped that because i moved and my belly got to big lol. there are however excersices that you can do after you have your baby and heal, if you listen to your doc and do what they say then you shouldnt have any problems getting that baby weight off. good luck.

Walking, yes- in fct it's recommended! I wouldn't do sit-ups though. Just enjoy being pregnant, and worry about your body after you have the baby! Congratulations!
