Pregnancy & Parenting - 20 December 2006

Nov.7th was the first day of my last period.My cycle is 34-35 days.
A week before I was supposed to get my period I had some brown discharge(like discharge you get when you are ovulating only it was not clear).I did 2 tests-both negative.I called my doctor and she said that there is no need to do the blood test and told me to wait another month!!!!! I am going crazy! Should I go and get a blood test somewhere else?

I am only 28 weeks today and my feet have been swelling for about a month now & I just noticed my wedding rings were hurting my finger so, I took them off and wow.. my fingers are swollen as well. My doctor said this was normal this early but, I just wanted some other opinions. Thanks so much!

i had my 20 week ultrasound yesterday and everything was looking really good, we found out we're having a BOY!!! He is very active. the doctor said all his organs, bones ect. look good but he's about 11 oz. and he said thats a little too small and wants to to another ultrasound at my next appt and for me not to exercise. has anyone else had an experience like this? i'm not sure what to think.

I wanted to ask what are the changes of a women been pregnant?

My girlfriend and I had sex earlier without any protection however I never managed to let my sperm in her, however my penis was wet from my pre-*** I only stroke her 6 times or so but not more. And, now it has been over two weeks and her period was to be in this month to be exact today however she usually skips a day or two.

What are the chances of her been pregnant?
What pregnancy test can be used now to determine if she is pregnant?
Does having abortion with medication cause any kind of serious damage in future if you are to have kids? What are some of the problems that women face at this time?

I started dating my ex girlfriend 2 and half years ago and I knew she had a child by her previous boyfriend. She got pregnant by me a year later, I moved in and helped repair her house so it could be in good condition for the baby. I worked 2 jobs and went to a local university. When the baby was three months she tells me she wants to go back to her ex which happens to be a drug dealer. I have a problem wih people (especially people I don't know) rubbing my pregnant belly. I am about 30 weeks and it's driving me insane. Not only does it make me uncomfortable, but my fiance doesn't like people touching me neither. He asks me why I don't say anything. What can I say?! Does anyone know how to or when to possibly try to get pregnant if they dont have a regular period schedule? mine is usually between 30 - 38 days, and i cant use those ovulation calculators to help estimate a date, and it gets nerve wracking after awhile... my baby boy is almost 19 month he was my first baby and i had no experience of how to take care of a baby .. any way i managed every thing by my self with the help of my husband.. i use to force him to eat and some time i shout at him coz i thought that if he didn't eat he might fall sick.. i kept doing this thing until he was 16 month but since that month he started refusing to eat at all and i have no control at him to force him to eat he just drink milk added with PEDIASURE his now 13.7 KG and that is ok but all with the help of the pediasure but he don't eat totaly even in the nursery the teachers complane that he don't eat .. the second problem is that he vomitte when he cries if he get upset for example if he is forced to go to bed and this happiens alot or if he wants something and we do't listen to him.. these problems all happened the past few months .. note : i have a second baby boy who is now 6 months old and he is little jelouse of him

I love children, and I am pregnant with my first, but I can admit that some babies are not very cute. I have heard people say "all babies are cute", but come on, that's not really true.

Don't you agree that most people fuss over not so cute babies because they don't want to hurt the baby's parents?

I can admit that I have done that, especially with family members!

He loves Blues Clues, Dora, and Baby Einstein, but I recently read that the AAP recommends that infants under 2 years of age never watch tv. He sleeps, plays with toys, reads books, eats, and excercises for several hours of the day, but what am I supposed to do the rest of the time if he can't watch any movies? Oh, and maybe the AAP has forgotten that there are things I need to get done during the day too! I need suggestions!
