Learn to relax, lay down and prop feet on edge of sofa
take deep breathin exercises, breath deep inhaling thru nose, feel breath in belly and slowly release,
This will calm u down and stop the anxieties.
Reading Holy scriptures from the Bible will also do wonders to calm u down.

Been there--3 times. I'm on my third pregnancy and have had a high pulse and anxiety for all of them. I'm sure you are also freaking out when your pulse is high. Try laying down and imagining yourself someplace safe with your baby. Count or do deep breathing. Basic relaxation takes the edge off.

I'm not a doctor, but I remember hearing that the pressure the baby puts on your major veins and arteries can cause pulse and blood pressure changes. I was told to lay on my left side and (I know it's sounds dumb) push like you are having a bowel movement. It does something to the blood vessels.

By the way, my first was 8lbs and 14oz. And she is just the smartest little girl ever. And my second is beautiful and perfect in every way.

Good Luck

I think you should listen to your doctor as he knows more about your case than we do. Possibly the fact that you are doing an end-run around him and looking for other diagnoses indicates that you are an A type personality having problems with not being in complete control of the situation. So -- relax, chill out, enjoy the Christmas season and sing a few carols when you start feeling anxious. It's hard to be uptight while you croon Silent Night.

Feliz Navidad!

I think your doctor knows best. But it can't be pleasant for you. What causes it? Are you around someone in particular when it happens? Are you thinking about something or doing bills when it happens? Try to figure out what's triggering it and avoid that...whatever it may be. If it is a person like a mother or mother in law, explain to her that she is causing you anxiety and you would appreciate it if she would try to be better at least while you are pregnant. I'm sure she will be so concerned about the baby she will want to help. God bless!

It can hurt your baby if it gets really bad. You need to chill out. Stop worrying so much and get plenty of rest. Any chance I can get some pregnant pictures?

pulse rates are high during pregnancy anyway. anywhere from 80-100 or better.

It does not effect your baby, because its not the same as blood pressure.

The best thing that you can do for your baby is listen to your doctor and relax.
