Pregnancy & Parenting - 20 December 2006

I just found out on Monday that I'm pregnant. I'm a 20 yr old college student. I've been with my boyfriend for 5 years and of course he is standing by me. He is going to get a job on November as a police officer making 43K a year. I've worked at a daycare for the past 3 years with infants and toddlers so I'm very experienced in that field. I'm not worried about being a good mom or taking care of the baby...I know I will be an excellent mom.
The only thing that is tearing me up right now is telling my parents and grandparents. They are religious and strict about these things.
To give you and idea, my 26 year old cousin who has a well paying job is living with his fiancee. My grandma condemns it and refuses to see their house because she does not believe in living together before marriage. They are very old fashioned and stuck in their ways. I know when they find out I"m pregnant, they will never speak to me or look at me again. They will shun me. How can I tell them!

i am 7months pregnant and my mom doesnt know yet and my skool nurse knows that im pregnant but i begged her to not tell my mom the nurse said i should be getting out of skool bcuz im growing n its hard for me to go up n down the stairs but how am i going to tell my mom im having twins one boy n one girl n im huge but i wear baggy stuff n my mom dont notice wat can i do???????please help me

This is my first baby and Im 40 weeks and 2 days. Im 3 cm dilated!! im getting really bad back pains the last couples of nights and really bad pains in my pelvis area whenever i get up out of bed or roll over. is this normal and if so , does it mean i will have this baby in the next couple of days?

can light cramping after sex be a sign of early pregnancy???

Ovulated 12-9 through the 15th.

had sex 9,10,13,15

next period due december 30th.
spotted very light pink wed the 13th after sex.
now i have cramping. had cramping 4 dpo as well.

It hurts me when I hear him say stuff like, "There is two kids in my class that pee in their pants, and in their bed, because they are babies!" Or, "He is blind(because they wear glasses)." I tell him it's not nice. But I am sure that doesn't do any good. I got picked on as a child and I don't want him to be a bully kid, but what do you do??

I have two 3mnth old doxin/terrrier mixes. The last 3 days they have been vomitting and have had diaharrea. They can't keep anything in them and if they do it sort of squirts out of them. It's gotten to the point that when they get up it just starts coming out and up. I know it's gross, but I'm asking b/c there are no vets that I trust in my town any more. Does anyone know of any home remedies that I could us on them?

Let's hear some funny things that have happened to you since you became a parent and all you could do was laugh. For example, last night was my husband's and my anniversary. Usually we go out some where nice, leave the 4 year old with a sitter or grandparents. Not last night, we had a classy night out at Pizza Hut!!! when I tell him no, he smacks, tells me he hates me and calls me names like big fat meanie, stupid, fat girl, and dumby...I am pretty fat right now, I am having a baby in 3 weeks but still, it kinda hurts..

My fiancé and I are planning to get married in August. He has a 6y/o daughter from a previous marriage. The mother had her rights terminated, and is not in the picture. His daughter has recently been acting out at home & school. She sneaks things from the kitchen, lies, talks back, refuses to listen, and also has taken money from my purse. She's always had trouble with listening and talking back, but it seems she has gotten worse. We have tried to punish her by taking things away or yelling, but it never works. Talking to her and explaining what she did wrong doesn't work either. She also has days where she is absolutely perfect, and couldn’t seem happier, but those seem to be getting fewer and fewer. I don’t even know how to get through to her anymore, but it is putting quite a strain on our relationship. My fiancé does not want to try counseling yet, he thinks she will grow out of it. I don’t mind waiting to try counseling, but in the meantime I would like to do something.

I'm wondering how many people think it's wrong to have a baby before marraige.
My fiance and I (engaged b4 i got pregnant, although it does not matter to me) are expecting a baby around early July. We are both thrilled about this pregnancy and have all the intentions in the world to raise a wonderful child together. We will not be married until July of 2008 which is when we have always planned on getting married. This pregnancy wasnt exactly planned but its not unwanted. We basically had the attitude if it happens sooner rather than later, great.
Does anyone beleive it truly matters that we are not going to be married? This child will not be loved any less by us or our families (who are also thrilled by my pregnancy) I'm just looking for opinions on the subject. If its something you don't agree with, please just say so, I do not want to here that my child will be a ******* or anything negative like that

I tested 10 days after intercourse and got a faint positive (5 days before my exspected peroid)I was really tired and hungry (same as when I was pregnant with my daughter) I tested again the day I was due to get my peroid but it was neg. I got my peroid a week later with sever cramps (they felt like contractions that lasted for ages) my peroid was heavy with clots. I didn't think anything of it until someone on here said that it could of been a chemical pregnanct inregards to my last question. The doctor wants me to have an ultrasound, i cant get in until next thursday and it will be around the time I will be ovulating and they want $160 up front for the appoinment and i'll get $100 back. Does it sound like that I had a miscarriage and should I go try and come up with the money for an ultrasound or because it was early theres nothing to worry about. thanks for your advise in advance

He recoginzes shapes and pictures and can identify them (where is the dog, point to the green ball), but he communicates mostly in grunts (points to what he wants and grunts). My wife and I are around all day, so I am concerned we might be acting as a crutch.

Should we be worried?
