DO see a healthcare provider, avoid excessively fatty/sugary/salty foods, get plenty of rest, moderate activity, eat plenty of fruits/veggies, take a prenatal vitamins, run all medications through your doctor before taking, no drugs/alcohol, have a support system & have fun! Relax, take care of yourself! Dream about the life growing inside of you!

DON'T clean a litter box, be around people with chicken pox, eat fish with high amounts of mercury (consult butcher/interent/doctor), just get fat/go crazy and eat whatever you want, stress, take medication without talking with your doctor, do drugs/drink alcohol.

Merry Christmas to you and your little one.

No hot tubs (keep baths under 100 deg), no contact sports or high-impact sports (esp after month 3) (high-impact: running, horseback riding, downhill skiing, anything that involves a large amt. of energy and possibility of falling), NO alcohol, no cigarettes, no illegal drugs, limit caffine (1-2 cups of coffee a day is usually ok), no prescription or over the counter drugs w/ out doc's approval (exception: tums - great for upset stomach and tons of calcium, limit to recommended dosage, of course), NO DIETING, no cleaning the kitty litter box, aviod chemicals (paint solvents, pesticides, herbicides...) as much as possible - wash hands after exposure, avoid heavy lifting.

Drink lots of liquids, esp milk and water, keep active (walking, light aerobics, swimming, etc.), fish are very healthy, but limit to 1-2 servings/week, sleep on your side (esp after first 3 mos) instead of back or stomach, ALWAYS wear your seatbelt, plenty of sleep, sit down and rest when you've been standing for a while (every 20 minutes or so), get up and walk when sitting for a long time (also every 20 minutes or so), most of all, if you think it's too much of a strain, don't do it.

You CAN still reach over your head - it won't hurt the baby. You will leak alot more fluids - be prepared. You more likely than not will start to cry at some point just bacause you can't do something that you used to be able to do (don't worry, you will again after the birth and when you're all healed). Your hair and skin will revert back to how they were when you were in highschool and won't do anything you want them to do (I washed my face 3x everyday while I was pregnant - still got break outs). You will - I guarantee this - You will scratch your stomach unconciously by the time you are 7-8 months pregnant. It itches, there's not much you can do except slather on the lotion (which helps a LITTLE bit)

Congratulations and good luck.
