you'll know if baby is too hot or too cold by the back of her neck. you can cover her hands with little thin baby mitts, they keep the hands warm and also prevent scratching!

babies dont have great cirulation in thier hands and feetyet, so theystay cooler than the rest of thier body. just use baby mitts and socks to keep thier hands and feet warm. normally if ou're comfortable then they are comfortable. the other answrs about the back of the neck is a good one too. a lot of people will grab a babys hand or foot and be like "THEYRE COLD WAHTS WRONG WITH YOU! PUT SOME COTHES ON THIS BABY!" bt its not really that nessacary to put clothes on them just cus theyre hads and feet are cold. if legs or arms r torso is cold then you need to find somethign a bit warmer for them. the nek kinda stays warm no matter what so use the legs or arms or watever as a kind of balancer of how to dress baby. also if a baby is to ht or too old theyll let you know because theyll cry!

You need to research an animals needs before you get one. Iguanas diets are not supposed to include crickets. they are vegetarians. They eat greens and fruit, and they are not to have lettuce because it has no nutritional value. They are not to have spinach or bananas because it will rob calcium from the animal. They also have to have UVB light every day. With out these things they will get Metabolic Bone Disease and it's terrible. They can't lift themselves up or walk. Your chamelon will die. Why should it be any different than any other pet you've killed already? You should take it back to the store and buy a book on reptiles. It's cruel to adopt a pet but not learn about what it needs to live, and live a decent life. it's an unspoken promise to the animal that if you take it out of its natural habitat, you are now responsible for providing its needs, at least or better than what it would receive in the wild. Since you are on yahoo, why don't you do a search for information on taking care of the pet you have now. They are even more delicate than iguanas are. I'm sorry if I sound mean, but what you are doing is cruel, and your pets cant tell you. It's okay to put your lizard in the sun, but it has to have water and it has to be able to get out of the sun. They have no way to cool down or heat themselves except for basking or hiding from the sun. I can tell you right now that that chameleon cant drink water from a bowl or a water bottle, it has to have a constant dripping source of water. In the pet store they put Ice on top of the vinyl cage and let it drip all day. Please return it until you learn about them. Don't go get a turtle. All animals have special needs. Maybe a cat would be good for you.

My son is 4 months old now and his hands and feet are always cold. I just try to keep socks on him all the time. His feet are even cold in the house and I have the air set at 74 all day, so I don't think he's cold. Sometimes his feet and hands feel sweaty....so maybe their wet not cold. Hope this helps.

place two fingersunder her neck, is she cold? Baby's hands and feet are going to be a bit colder than the rest of their body. I would get some socks on those toes and smother her fingers in some nice warm kisses. Other than that, she's probably fine.

She will let you know if she's cold. My ped. told me the best way to know if she is comfortable is to check the back of her neck. It is impossible to keep socks and mittens on a baby, but with the cold weather I would at least find some velcro booties or put socks and shoes on. That's what I do with my daughter when we go out. When at home she goes barefoot.

No. Babies have poor circulation and so aren't cold just because their hands and feet say so... you need to check the body temperature at the base of the neck rather than the extremities.
Just put mittens and socks on the baby, and welcome to parenthood!
Merry Christmas :)

no, she's fine, but i'd probably put some socks on her.
my baby always wakes up in the morning with cold hands b/c he sleeps in a thick sleeper, but it doesn't cover his hands.
he is nice and toasty, though!
take care.
