I am between 15-16 weeks and I think I felt the baby today. It feels like fluttering just under my rib cage. I thought it should be around the belly button. Am I wrong?

Well...it's not that unheard of to feel it that early...usually it's around 18 weeks....but to feel it up that high doesn't sound right. You should feel it much lower like you thought.. below your belly button. Your uterus isn't up that high yet. Maybe it was just gas?? Don't worry...it won't be long!
Good luck and Congrats!

Hey it's almost time to feel your baby move So exciting, it is indescribable. The top of your uterus is about halfway between your pubic bone and your navel, and the round ligaments that support it are thickening and stretching as it grows. You're probably feeling a whole lot better as you settle into pregnancy, too. Less nausea, fewer mood swings, and "glowing" skin contribute to an overall sense of well-being. Soon you'll experience one of the most wonderful moments of pregnancy - feeling your baby move. While some women notice "quickening" as early as 16 weeks, many don't feel their baby move until about 18 weeks or more. (And if this is your first baby, don't be too impatient - you may not be aware of your baby's movements until 20 weeks or so.) The earliest movements may feel like little flutters, gas bubbles, or even like popcorn popping. Over the following weeks they'll grow stronger and you'll be able to feel them much more frequently. Good luck honey. Don't forget to sign up for this website it will even give you tips for after you have the baby.

It probably wasn't because when your 15 weeks the baby still sits below your belly button and I'm 21 weeks and just started feeling my baby when i was 19 and that's around the time the doctor said i should feel the baby move

I'm 16 weeks 3 days, and I've been feeling movement for a week or so now. However, the movement you felt is too high up to be the baby, you are correct in that it should be near your navel. So no, you aren't feeling the baby move.

I started feeling my baby right at 16 weeks. But I think it should be lower than your ribcage. The baby is still pretty small at this point. I think you'll have no doubt when you actually feel it. Anyways good luck and happy pregnancy!!!

yeah I think you are feeling gas or something, it should be in your uterus (lower abdomin) and I dont think its that high yet.

I felt mine at 16 weeks, and about 18-19 weeks with my first, maybe sooner I just didnt know it at the time!
