At least once a month my hubby and I make plans.... MAKE PLANS... to get out without our daughter. It's important, married or single, to have some "me" time. To recoup, do something that you enjoy...and even to give the child a chance to be without you. We get on their nerves too LOL.

As a mother of 3 (soon to be 4) I have a 5 year old son, and 7 month old twin girls. My younger sister Elyse is very responsible and is 16, So my hubby and I try to go out 1 time at least every other week and usually it is to a movie or dinner, some place where it won't take too long.

You can do that??????
Seriously, not very often. My older 2 boys go with their dad alternating weekends but we always have our baby with us pretty much all of the time.
When we do go out I tend to over do it. This fall we had a sitter for the day and had a few (dozen?) too many. Stopped on the way home to fool around. Got home, passed out and when I woke up I realized my shirt was on backwards and inside out!! How embarrassing! We didn't call the sitter for almost 3 months after that. She did babysit again though and I came home fully and properly dressed and on time!

I go out without my kids about once or twice a month. We do so much with them as a family but there also has to be mommy and daddy "alone" time. Just to sit, relax, enjoy another's company and to gather your thoughts. It gets very frustrating having kids so I don't ever see any harm in dropping them off at the sitter and taking a break from tickle me elmos and barbies. Going out relaxes you, and when you're relaxed, your kids are more relaxed too.

I'm a single adoptive parent. I went out about once a week, unless my parents took them to their house overnight. Every parent should have some time away from the kids. Married parents should schedule time together so they can enjoy each other and adult company. The time away makes you a better parent.

In the past four years, I've been out, without my husband, maybe 10 times. My husband and I have and opportunity to get out for dinner about every 6 weeks. Lack of a trusted babysitter and Lack of funds to pay for one. My husband gets out quite a bit more than I do though.

My husband and I work so we try to stay home with our son as much as possible to get mommy and daddy bonding time. We don't go out a whole lot, but we have had occasion to need to call on grandma to babysit a few times.

I honestly can't say that I can reference any specific timing for how we go out ect...but I don't think there is anything wrong with going out once a month, if you can afford it.

Once a month my parents take care of my son for a weekend and I get to go out and enjoy being around other adults.

At least once a month. My husband and I both work full time so we feel guilty leaving him for other reasons. I think every parent needs some me time, and every couple needs some us time! Go out and have a blast!

I never get a time by myself! Except when I was going to school.
I went for my GED and started some college classes and thats about it. My kids are with me all the time.
