Yesterday, I asked about accuracy of the Down Syndrome test and got lots of great responses. Thanks, you really helped. But that discussion brought up the amino test. Do it or Not to do it. No matter if this baby is found to have DS my daughter is going to have this baby and it is already loved by so many family and friends. My daughter will have the ultrasound that does all of the measurements next Wednesday. So far, her and her husband are waiting till after the ultrasound to deceide if they should go through with the amino. We are all worried about the risks involved with that test. Any thoughts?

I found out that i was pregant, and last night i could not sleep bc my stomach was uncomfortable and then started to hurt toward my pevic bone, and this morning when i got up and went into the bath room, when i pee, there was alot of blood, could the test be wronge and i just started my peroid about 2 1/2 weeks late, or whats wronge. please help

I had a missed miscarraige in august, it wasn't discovered untill I went for my routine 12 week scan. I had no signs at all of miscarraige and now I'm freaking out at everything, I'm so scared of loosing this baby too

I'm about 5'1, 95 lbs (all of my family are very petite) and at the ob visit last time I had gained 2-3 lbs. I normally have a struggle putting on weight. I just got back from a cruise where I ate constantly and I thought I was showing but I'm back now and cant see it. My dr said I might not show till 4-5 months but I'm worried.

I took my last pill on OCT 21, and then I bleed like I usally do, but I never started my next pack a week later. I have been having unprotected sex many times, but I took a PG test last night it was NEG, I was heart broken :(
How long do you think it will take for me to Ovulate again, and when should I expect my period? I want to get PG as soon as I can?

Any help?
PS, I have been on the pill for about 4.5 years. Will I ever be able to have a baby again?

Ok so last monday I was supposed to start my period and this past Monday (a week later) I took a pregnancy test which came out positive so I knew I was pregnant (of course!) So yesterday, Thursday, I start bleeding and having real bad cramps. I go to a local clinic and have 2 pregnancy tests done both came out positive so I was really sure that I was pregnant. Ok so my point is I started bleeding and the nurse from the clinic told me to go to the emergency room because I could be having a miscarriage, so I did and after everything the doc. told me my cervix was closed but there was a chance of miscarrying and that if i started bleeding more that night just to let it go and treat it like a normal period since I was only a couple of wks or a mth into the pregnancy. This morning i'm not bleeding anymore but I do have some cramps. Has this ever happened to anyone and they actually miscarried or has this happened and then stopped and the pregnancy was normal?? Am I going to miscarry?

I have not had any children yet, though i know that I would like to someday, maybe try soon, I have always wondered however how loose does one really become after having a baby vaginally, is it really a big difference? destructive i mean its unbelievable. He tears things up, not in a spiteful way but more like a 5 yr old way, broken rakes and brooms outside, little pieces of paper ect...torn up and left wherever. gutters off house and flattened candy wrappers lots of them on my front porch he leaves everything out wether it be bikes or food drink pitchers bread not wrapped back up chips a whole bag left the last place he had them wide open getting stale. i know it does not sound too bad but i havent even scraped the surface.when i ask him about it hes like oh sorry or i forgot or i dont know why my screen is in the neighbors yard.i dont know how 2 handle this. taking stuff away does not help...please any advice would help

My husband has 2 kids from his 1st marriage,I have 1,& we have 1 together.He sets rules for all of the kids, but only follows through w/ mine.I want all the kids treated equally!His kids are only w/ us 3-4 days a week, but they're about to come live w/ us full time.My husband travels a lot & I'm concerned what will happen when he's gone.All of the kids have chores, even my 4yr old.But his 13 & 10yr old are never made to do theirs.He tells them to clean their room, bring out their laundry, etc but then never checks to see that it's done....it's not!Same w/ homework & even showering.Part of me says it's not my place to follow through w/ his rules w/ his kids, but the mother in me doesn't want to ignore it & have them grow up thinking laziness & dirtiness is OK. They think b/c at their mothers house they can stay out w/ friends until 9pm on a school night & have no chores that it should be the same at our house. My husband doesn't see the problem & blames it all on teenage stuff HELP ME

I'm not sure what the best way is to handle my 13 month old when she doesn't get what she wants. When I tell her no or take something away from her she cries uncontrollable. I just walk away because I don't know what else to do. I do get down to her level and tell her what she has done. I do also spank when it is necessary and also explain why after. But when you do this she cries like she's telling me how it is. Help, first time parents!!!

during my c section the epidural stopped working and i was able to feel the operation and tried to get off operating table and had to have a full general anaethetic. i was diagnosed with post traumatic stress disorder afterwards and had to have medication and counciling. i did however have the most perfect baby and so dont know if its right to sue!

He is teething right now and has a cough and terrible cold. I went to the dr. last week and they told me he had no strep or ear infection. Do you think the ear is sore due to teething ? Or has an ear infection developed since I went to the dr?? Any advice?

I have had ovulation pain, Mittelschmerz, for about 5 years now. That is how I knew I was ovulating. It became an odd comfort to me because I knew when my period was coming based on that. This is the second month in a row where I no longer have it. I should be happy, for sometimes it would be really uncomfortable, but I now have another concern: does this mean I am not ovulating? Although we are not trying to get pregnant, I would like to know that I am ovulating for when we do try.

P.S. I don't use birth control pills. We use calender method for birthcontrol.

I have a few questions, I posted before about the miscarriage. im doing alot better now. thanks to all those who posted a few weeks ago. I couldnt have gotten through it without all those encouraging posts.

My question now is, as I am being extreamly healthy, I miss my coffee and was wondering if decaf was ok? I realise it has some caffine in it, but I didnt know if that can still affect things.

Anyway, most fertile this weekend and going away to a hotel, so wish me luck!

I am buying a house and my parents are loaning me 10,000 so i can pay them back interest free. THe back would not let me get the mortgage unless they filled out a gift letter saying it was a gift and i would not have to pay them back? Why is this? I just saw a commerical on TV the other day about helping your kids finance college and homes by loaning them money so they save on interest? Thank you if you have an answer. Why can't parents loan you 10,000 for downpayment on house?

Please read carefully before you answer. I really am just curious. I think my baby is THE most beautiful baby I have ever seen. Seriously - he is perfection. I take a step back and try to look at him objectively and he is just beautiful! People tell me all the time. I wonder if other mothers think my baby is cuter than theirs. I do completely realize that every mom thinks their baby is cute and loves it deeply no matter what, but do they realize other babies are cuter? Does anyone think their baby is just not cute (I know you love it anyway, of course!) Don't be all mad at me about this question! I wuold love my baby the same if he had all sorts of diseases and looked like a monster - seriously - he mine! But I really think he is cuter than all other babies. Does every mother feel exactly the same way I do?????

I need some advice from a woman who is either pregnant or has been pregnant before. I am pregnant right now and of course I am a little emotional. I woke up this morning with a dirty tape in the tape player. I got upset and threw it away. I know our sex life hasn't been great but it hurt my feelings that I caught my husband watching this, especially since we have our own special tape that he could have watched. My feelings are really hurt and when he gets home from work I don't want to blow up on him but I am not handling this well. I was feeling very close to him and we hardly ever have any problems and I am afraid I won't feel as close to him and won't love on him as much because I am upset but I can't act like I don't know. What do I do?

My ex girl friend has recently told me she's pregnant. And were not
sure who the dad is. She has a dating scan on the 6th dec and i can't wait that long.......

So here's the story. We had sex on the 8th and 9th of sept. Her period was due on the 15th of sept and it didnt come till the 17th. The period was lighter and shorter than normal. She said she normally uses 2 boxes of tampons but she didn't even use one box. Shes been pregnant before but on the 12th week, she aborted it. Now, 10 weeks (if I'm the dad that is) on, shes struggling to do her jeans up. In other words shes showing and shes sure its not where shes put on the extra weight because of being pregnant.

What do you think?

my girl loblg posted a question telling that she was pregnant by rape by another man. and i read it, and most people said i was wrong for not supporting her in keeping the baby. but how would you feel if you or your girl got pregnant by another man and the thought that he took something that was mines! i don't want nor do i feel comfortable taking care of a baby thats not mines. don't tell me i'm wrong because you would probaly feel the same way if it happened to you.

My 13 yo daughter is lovely, respectful, get good grades, a sweetheart and a bit crazy. She gave in to peer pressure and went to a mall with some friends in the car of a 19 yo boy we havent heard of. She knew she couldnt do that, but..I got to know cause she called me and asked me to get her at the mall. She told the truth, apologized, said she acted without thinking and promised not to do that again, But as a mom I have to correct her, which is hard after her sincere sorry mom, didnt mean to hurt you. But for a week she'll do some chores in the kitchen, thing she hates. She'll exchange swimming and hanging out with friends for a sweet kitchen pinafore, lol, 2hours a day. Of course I heard that Oh mom, please, but I just said, sorry hun, I love ya, youre a wonderful girl but needs a lesson. Thats how its gonna be. I wont forbid email, TV, etc, just want to give her a motherly lesson. She agreed she needed a lesson and isn't resentful, though a bit embarrassed with her sweet pinafore

I have a 4 and a half year old daughter that dislikes going to her dads. Her reason is he yells and tells her off alot but i think there is more to it then that. For the first year of her life she did not have contact with him till about 3 and a half years ago and im wondering if its because of that maybe she hasnt bonded with him but shes saying at the moment "i dont like boys" but she says she likes my boyfriend of 2 and a half years but she hates her dad.
