Ok so last monday I was supposed to start my period and this past Monday (a week later) I took a pregnancy test which came out positive so I knew I was pregnant (of course!) So yesterday, Thursday, I start bleeding and having real bad cramps. I go to a local clinic and have 2 pregnancy tests done both came out positive so I was really sure that I was pregnant. Ok so my point is I started bleeding and the nurse from the clinic told me to go to the emergency room because I could be having a miscarriage, so I did and after everything the doc. told me my cervix was closed but there was a chance of miscarrying and that if i started bleeding more that night just to let it go and treat it like a normal period since I was only a couple of wks or a mth into the pregnancy. This morning i'm not bleeding anymore but I do have some cramps. Has this ever happened to anyone and they actually miscarried or has this happened and then stopped and the pregnancy was normal?? Am I going to miscarry?

I'm sorry hun that you are going through this. With my first baby it happened something like this, which by the way doesn't mean you are miscarrying. I saw my baby in the toilet when I went to pee and then 2 hours later I had horrible cramps. I wasn't even far along enough to know I was pregnant. You very well could be just having a period because some people have periods while they are pregnant. All you can do is just act as if you were pregnant. You can't stress out about it because that CAN cause a miscarriage. Just keep in good spirits and if it makes you feel better go to the doctor within a week or so and they can see exactly what is going on. I know it's hard but you can't worry until you know for sure. Good luck hun.

You need to go to another doctor, your reg. Obgyn and request an ultrasound and full exam, they should have done an ultrasound in the hospital! If you are miscarrying it should show up on one. I bleed a little around 8 weeks with my twins and they did an ultrasound and said I was not miscarrying but having twins! I didnt bleed anymore after that though.

Many women have bleeding, even a form of their period, after conceiving. It happens sometimes. There is ALWAYS the chance of miscarriage, but nature knows what it's doing. Just be healthy and see what happens.

Only God and your body knows whether you are going to misscarry. Get into bed and stay there and that may help you not to misscarry. The less stress, the less of a chance. Sometimes misscarriage is the way for the body to get rid of a fetus with abnormalities. If you stopped bleeding, there is still a chance that the pregnancy will go to term. Just relax and get into bed!

Not sure but just remember that if you do have a miscarriage that it is because there was something wrong with the pregnancy. It is hard but that is the only way I was able to deal woth it. Good luck!
