An IT-geek colleague is having a baby. We are designing him a card using the OSI Model letters APSTNDP - We have a cool word (or phrase) for all but the "T" (examples, Afterbirth, Poop, Sleepless nights, No sex, etc. etc.) ... Can anyone think of a great word or phrase related to infants/newborns/pregnancy/birth that will be funny and cool for the card? Thanks in Advance!!!

Ok, i kno i asked similar questions before.. but i'm really confused atm, i'm goin2a family planning clinic tomorrow, but any advice before then would be helpful.

I stopped bc in august bcuz it wasn't reacting well with me, period came on the 25th of september. i then had unprotectd sex(stupid i know) on the 9th of october and took the morning after pill. i had a very light bleed 5days later,i thought it was my period, which only lasted3days(didn't even fill a mini tampon) but.. had unprotectd sex during that. since then i havnt had another period. and to top off stuff..the condom broke2day.. and i was told you can't take the mornin after pill twice in one cycle.. so i really don't know what to do.

do u tink the bleed i had in october was a period or jus irregular bleeding bcuz of the mornin after pill? and what are the chances that i mite hav concieved during that light bleed?

thank-you x

OK ...I'm in a total panic. I am 7 months pregnant, and did not realize until the end of the first trimester (I had a couple of instances of pregnancy related bleeding that I thought were my period). My husband and I would regulalry drink on the weekends ... pretty heavily sometimes. During the first trimester there were a number of birthday celebrations, vacations, summer parties, etc. As soon as I realized, I stopped drinking entirely. I had an ultrasound at 21 weeks to date the pregnancy, and was told everything looked perfect, but I'm still freaked.
PLEASE do not be judgmental or tell me about the harm I've done. I do enough beating up of myself ... and do not need any harsh words to add to the stress. Instead, if you could just pass along stories you know where others drank this long or longer and had healthy children I'd really appreciate it. Thanks so much ....

I am 7 weeks pregnant and do not have tender breasts (they are a little more swollen than usual but thats it.) A couple of weeks ago they were tender on and off... as of last week, my HCG was normal. The only pregnancy symptoms I have are fatique and on and off nausia. Has anyone else experienced this and had a healthy baby? I just feel like I should be peeing more frequently and my boobs should hurt but they dont? Is any of this normal?

I had another sonogram this morning because the doctor said I was measuring four weeks ahead. The tech said that at this poing the baby should weigh about 2.5-3lbs and was estimated to weigh about 3 lbs 9oz right now. If the baby keeps meauring this much bigger will the doctor induce labor? Or will they encourage a c-section? I would do anything to avoid a c-section if I can help it. I don't know if they would induce though either. Has anyone had this happen to them? Thanks!

Will a doctor induce labor at 37 weeks if you are in severe pain? Im almost 35 weeks, and have been on bed rest since about 30 because of serious back pain, pelivic problems, and a large baby He's measuring 2 weeks ahead of time. I can bearly keep anything down from seriously bad nausia, and I cannot sleep because of all the pain. My daughter was born at 37 weeks and the doc said she was absolutly perfect, wieghing 7'7lbs. (she measured on time) Im positive he will be fine. I want to wait until he is full term (I hear it is now 36) so i figure 37 would be perfect. Any ideas?

I am 23 and was just married in May my husband is 32. We have been together for five years. We both think that we are ready to conceive this is our third month trying the problem is it seems like he never wants to have sex with me! Dont get me wrong we both have put weight on and I feel like that is proberly part of the problem but we are still both good looking people. When we do have sex (maby 3 times a month) it is good. When I asked him why he does not seem to want to have sex he says he is tired or that he does not feel good about his body ( I dont see anything wrong with it) I know you are proberly thinking HE HAS TO BE CHEATING but I really dont see how he could I know where he is all the time and out side the bedroom he goes out of his way to please me so what is really going on? He is always talking about he wants a child well does he not know what it takes to make one! I should be at ovulation on saturday and we did have sex on Monday so I have one in a million shot !

My little man will be 3 in Feb. He has had three sets of tubes and has some hearing loss. We have started potty trainin and does really good as long as he has no pants on. So he runs all over the house streaking. But if you put undies or a pull up he will go in them. I have started setting a timer for every 15 minutes and he will run in and try if dressed. But if no timer or not streaking he will go in his pants. Please any suggestions.

We are in process of transitioning 3 year old sibling to our previously adopted twins who are almost 5. This poor litlle guy has had major trauma with being removed from his home and placement. The biggest concern we have is when he gets really mad he will throw his head against objects or the floor. One time he picked up a little childrens chair and threw it and screamed. I told him I would not listen to him do that and when he was done to please pick up the chair and put it back. I walked away and a couple of minutes later when he was quiet, I saw that he HAD in fact put the chair back and said sorry. I asked if he was feeling better, he said yes and we hugged it out and I told him that the behaviour is not aceptable and I don't want him to keep hurting himself. He has major speech and language delays. Any advice on how to help a child that hurts himself? We predict this scenerio when leaving a fun activity/place as well. Any coping techniques? Not hitting, please. Transition help?

My son is 9. He had a blast with friends recently - the mom allowed her two sons (both 9) and mine to go, unsupervised, through the woods behind their house to a reservoir. Our sons fished, hiked, had adventures.

Watching my son talk about how great it was to do this, I felt bad that I was terrified and upset to hear that my son had been roaming around unsupervised.

A child killer was arrested only blocks from where they went into the woods. Obviously, that guy's in jail, but it leaves me realizing they could be anywhere.

My husband thinks three nine year old boys can take care of each other and should be free to have such adventures. Obviously, I'd love my son to have this fun, but I find it hard to believe one should let 9 year old boys fun in the woods near a river (or anywhere) unsupervised.

Have you coped with this? What do you do? What would you do?

We live in a huge suburb of the nation's capital.
