It is rare to get a false positive on a home pregnancy test. You may be having a miscarriage. Usually, the female body will take care of an early term miscarriage without medical assistance. However, there are some concerns here. You need to watch your bleeding. If the blood appears dark, you are filling more than one pad an hour or there is a foul/fishy odor, you need to go to an emergency.

Honestly, if you have health insurance and a regular ob/gyn, I would schedule and appoint to make sure your body is eliminating, properly. If you do not have health insurance, an emergency room can not deny you.

Please keep in mind that if you are having a miscarriage, does not mean that you can not get pregnant at another time and carry the baby to term with no problems.

Good Luck and Take Care

Like you i am a clueless 19yr old. i kinda had the same experience. I went to the doctor because the bleeding was similar to a period. When I was at the doctor they did both a urine and blood test to detect the pregnancy...they both came back negative. They told me that i could have miscarried or that i might have not even been pregnant...maybe that month i was just late. They were wrong. I was pregnant the whole time. I guess it was just my bodies way of clearing stuff out in there so the baby would have a nice home for the next 9 months. All my home tests were positive...you would have thought the doctor would have done a better job.Try not to worry too much...im sure youll be fine. My baby is due any day now....good luck with yours. God Bless

Ive heard that when your pregnet, you can still have a period. It shouldnt be a very long period though. If you took an over the counter pregnancy test, it could be wrong becuse most of those test arent accurate anyways. Usually if your just 2 to three weeks late, you its okay you may have one the next month. If you dont start your period in a month or two, thats when you should start worrying about whether or not you are pregnet or not. If you think you are pregnet, you should go to the doctor or a gynocologist and get it checked out rather than going and buying a pregnancy test that you dont even know if it is accurate or not.

You may have miscarried, or you started your period late. You should make a doctor appointment so they can monitor your hormone levels. If the level is at 0, you weren't pregnant. If it's above 5, you were pregnant, and they'll want to watch the levels to make sure they go back down to zero (so they know you had a complete miscarriage).

If you were pregnant, you were so early that I doubt you'll need a D&C, but the doctor will be able to tell you.

Good luck.

It could be wrong but better safe than sorry.Go see a doctor. If the bleeding is heavy it could be serious. There is no substitute for a good ob/gyn.

maybe you are having a early miscarriage I hate to say it but if you had a test and it was positive, it suggest you go to the hospital right now to get a DNC to clean out your uterus. Sorry and I hope that you are okay!

You could have miscarried, had a blood clot, had a cyst burst--or it could have just been a freak period. Go to your doctor NOW and be checked out.
