Please read carefully before you answer. I really am just curious. I think my baby is THE most beautiful baby I have ever seen. Seriously - he is perfection. I take a step back and try to look at him objectively and he is just beautiful! People tell me all the time. I wonder if other mothers think my baby is cuter than theirs. I do completely realize that every mom thinks their baby is cute and loves it deeply no matter what, but do they realize other babies are cuter? Does anyone think their baby is just not cute (I know you love it anyway, of course!) Don't be all mad at me about this question! I wuold love my baby the same if he had all sorts of diseases and looked like a monster - seriously - he mine! But I really think he is cuter than all other babies. Does every mother feel exactly the same way I do?????

I think my daughter's gorgeous of course, but yes, I've seen children who are "cuter" or "prettier" or more photogenic than she is. That's life. :)

I've wondered this same thing myself, actually. My two boys (esp. my 2 1/2 year old) are absolutely beautiful children (I have pictures to prove it!!). Sometimes when we're out and we go past someone with a baby or young child that's sort of homely and we "check each other's kids out", I wonder if she realizes my boys are cuter than her child. I KNOW this sounds horrible and stuck up and I really don't mean it to be, but I swear if I had a nickel for everytime someone came up to me and said, "They belong on the jar of Gerber baby food!" or "You're so blessed to have such gorgeous children!" I'd be a rich woman.
DO women who have slightly "less-than-cute" babies know that there are other babies out there who are cuter than theirs? Honestly, I've seen a few ( and I mean a VERY few) kids out and about over the years who were beautiful, sweet, gorgeous, etc., but like you said--your own is the cutest. :) I've never thought, "Hey, he's cuter than Jacob!" when I saw an especially cute child, but I did rank this one little boy way up there with my two sons.

Yes, every mom has that same mentality that their baby is the most beautiful and precious thing roaming the earth. They just went through some painful labor so of course they are going to think it is the cutest and te best. In their eyes noting compares to that little bundle of innocents an joy they hold in their hands. And, yes I have seen some UGLY babies.

every mom thinks their baby is the cuter so get down of that cloud you're walking...and people just tell other their baby is beautiful just to be nice and polite...I've said tons of times how beautiful someone's baby is but really being very ugly. Grow up

i truly believe that my daughter was the most beautiful baby in the world, and that she is now the most beautiful young woman i have ever seen. i too tried to be objective, but she still came up cutest in my mind. i don't know about other mothers, but beauty is in the eye of the beholder, and if all babies are the "best" in their mommy's eyes, than the world is sure to be a better place for it.

I see where you are coming from...i bet alot of people think what you are saying but just don't say it! I also think my daughter is the cutest baby ever in the world! We have been getting stopped since the day she was born with people wanting to see her and talk to her and tell us they can't believe how cute she is.
So yeah I think people prolly think the same way as you.

Yes I think every mother feels the same way..... There will never ( in your eyes ) be a baby cutier than your own.
