It's possible to conceive quite soon, but studies show it's best for a mom and her baby, regardless of the method of birth, to wait to conceive until 18-24 months after the first baby is born. Any earlier and there are more low birth weight babies and higher risk of pre-term labor and other complications.

I got pregnant again when my son was 8 months old!! Total accident!!
I now have 20 month old son & 3 month old daughter and although I love them both more than any thing else in the world it is bloody hard work! I would recommend waiting until the first child is old enough to realise what is going on. My son had the shock of his life when the baby came home & he is too young to understand that if I am feeding her I can't be playing with him etc. He gives her lots of kisses and cuddles but he also hits her & throws stuff at her!
As far as the section goes, I recovered quicker after the 2nd one & it wasn't as painful as the first. Biggest problem was that my son didn't understand that mommy couldn't lift him or have him jumping on her belly!!

as soon as you want to. i am having my third baby now im 10 weeks pregnant. i had my other two by cesarean. my first two are 18 months apart. There is no time limit on when you can have your next one. once your period starts again and you are ready then go for it. good luck and congrats on the baby.

My OB told me that I should wait at least 6 months for everything to heal properly before getting pregnant again. I would double check with your OB though to make sure there aren't any special circumstances with your situation.

Wait at LEAST a year. I've had 2 C-sections. They are hard on your body, and need a lot of time heal. Hope this helps

Its possible right away! Its not adviseable for atleast 18 months that is what my doctor told me after mine, but I had my tubes tied 6 weeks later anyway so no worry for me
Found a link for you that says 18-24 months

It is probably "possible" to get pregnant very soon afterwards but your health and your future child's health is important. You should talk to your doctor for the best advice on this.

With any pregnancy, ideally you wait 2 years to allow your body to get back into balance and your nutritional status back up to be able to have a healthy second child.

Well you should wait until it heals or put a zipper in.
