Am I the Dad?

Question

My ex girl friend has recently told me she's pregnant. And were not
sure who the dad is. She has a dating scan on the 6th dec and i can't wait that long.......

So here's the story. We had sex on the 8th and 9th of sept. Her period was due on the 15th of sept and it didnt come till the 17th. The period was lighter and shorter than normal. She said she normally uses 2 boxes of tampons but she didn't even use one box. Shes been pregnant before but on the 12th week, she aborted it. Now, 10 weeks (if I'm the dad that is) on, shes struggling to do her jeans up. In other words shes showing and shes sure its not where shes put on the extra weight because of being pregnant.

Whatever happens, whether you are the father or not, it takes more balls to be a dad to a child than simply father one. At the end of the day if you and your partner stay together and you are a good dad to the child, nothing else will matter. Believe me there is a big difference between fathering a child (providing the sperm) and being a dad.

DNA is the only way to determine paternity. However, I agree with the reply before about her lying. She must be a lot more pregnant than she is letting on - nobody shows at 10 weeks. I mean the baby is still so small, and you don't put that much weight on straight away that you can't do your jeans up. Whereas for a lighter period, I doubt she had it at all.
Anybody could be the dad, depends where she's been - only she knows.

A womens clothes can start getting tight on her at 10 weeks regardless of what anyone else is saying. I have 3 kids and am pregnant again with our 4th and I know. I show early. So based on the dates, it sound right to me. During the first 2 weeks of pregnancy a women is not pregnant. It is based on the date of the first day of her last period, and then it takes 2 weeks for her to ovulate, etc...So when a women is 4 weeks pregnant , the baby has only been attached to the uterus and growing for 2 weeks. So based on your dates it definitley sounds like your the daddy. Good Luck.

A woman doesn't show at 10 weeks. Has she taken a home pregnancy test? have you thought she's just trying to get your attention? I'm not saying she's not but how do you know she is. Also, if her period was due on sep 15th I don't think she was just ovulating a week earlier (when you two had sex) she may have conceived (if she's pg) before. Why don't you offer to go with her to that dr appt? if she says no I wouldn't trust her,she may be making this up. And if she says yes go and ask the dr when was the probable date of conception and that will clear up your mind. It's hard to tell, but I don't think you are.

to be perfectly honest you very well could be. and showing this early is normal, she has been pregnant up tp 14 weeks before so her body will stretch quicker.
I am sorry to say though where was the condom? You guys could catch anything from anyone let alone get pregnant. There are so many people out there that are unable ot get pregnant and its the people that use abortions as a means of birth control that is really not right.
She needs to learn to deal with her mistake and next time "no glove no love"!!!

unfortunately you may not know until after birth as dating is not always accurate. my dates where out by 2 weeks when i got pregnant and my boyfriend even accused me of cheating thankfully that's all sorted now. but girls differ when pregnant i started feeling tight in my clothes at 6 weeks and was showing. hormones do strange things to a woman she could be bloated or constipated which would make her look pregnant. i know its a hard situation but you may have to just wait and see or have to get DNA testing

This is a hard one. I think your ex girlfriend may not be pregnant at all. Going on dates alone she shouldn't be pregnant. Go along with her for the scan. It is better you are there and then you will know what is going on. But you will have to wait until then.

She needs to take a test before she know whether she's pregnant or not.
She shouldn't have told you before she took a test.
And the only way to tell is a dna test after the baby is born - if she's pregnant.
A dating scan is not as reliable.

even a dating scan wont tell you for sure,your gonna have to wait till the baby is born & get a dna test,but she sounds like a problem girl anyway,maybe she was already pregnant & lied bout her period,10 weeks & she cant do up her jeans,hmm I doubt it very much!!
