I sometimes give my 1 week old baby the bottle.....after her feeding i find it VERY hard to burp her,sometimes i'll be sitting there trying to burp her for 20 mins.......can i go without burping her if she dosnt wanna burp?

I'm 32wks pregnant and for the past few months I've been getting nore and more discharge. Not anything different and what I described to the doctor, he said was normal, and it looks normal to me because I have had yeast infections before and a couple of others. But has anyone ever noticed a smell like garlic in their discharge. I know that sounds gross, and I'll ask my doc about it at the next appt. This isn't the first time I've noticed this it happens sometimes, even when I haven't been pregnant. It just seems stronger now. Any ideas? I don't have ANY other weird symptoms except the normal pregnancy discharge! Thanks and please be kind!!!!

I had my tubes tied 12 years ago and husband wants another baby, is it possible to get pregnant without surgery, if so please give serious advice to help or is there insurance that you can get that can help pay for half or all the sugery cost. I live in NC, if you know of a Dr. to referr me to. Thanks so much

My son was born with dark blue eyes, they've slowly lightened up to a nice bright blue, but one of his eyes has brown streaks in it, it's been this way for a couple of months now (he's 5 months old now). I always just assumed that the other eye would get some brown in it soon, but it's been a while. Is it possible that only one eye will have brown in it? Anyone else have this happen with their babies?

I'm a nurse, in labor and delivery. I really want to get a nose piercing, and have recently discovered that my hospital has no policy against facial piercings.

So what I want to know, is is this completely unprofessional? Keep in my my average patient population is young, 13-35 on average. What would you think if you or your partner came to the hospital to have a baby and yoru nurse had a nose piercing? I'm just talking about a little silver dot, not a huge bull ring or anything like that.

i was after school for extra help and i went outside 2 wait for my ride. Then i went 2 the front door to try 2 get in the school but a kid made sure all the doors were closed. and this girl (his friend) excedently leaned on the handle and i opened the door and he got scared and fell backward. Then brandon grabed my shirt and shoved me. Then he punched me and gave me a bloody lip. Then he tried 2 punch me again but i blocked and speared him in the gut and trucked him in a lost in found bin( it was about 5 feet away from us). he got hurt and 2 of his toes on his left foot broke and sprained his ancle.

the next day at school i get called down 2 the office and i get suspended for lvl 2 violence (he told on me and he didn't get in trouble). The assastiant princible tells me that i started hitting him and punched him (by the way he had some bruises) and she wouldn't believe me because brandon came in crying and because i beat him up.

He says his parents are going 2 sue me.so can they??

I am 35 weeks and have been having contractions... but most recently I have a throbbing pain in my vagina during these contractions.

long. Does anyone else have a cycle like this? My doctor told me that it is normal to have a cycle this long but sometimes I feel like something could be wrong. Plus it is hard to tell when I am ovulating and when I sould take a pregnancy test especially on the really long cycles.

I am asking this because it did show up positive, 9 days after i had intercourse with my bf. My little girl is already born...she's a doll baby. But i'm trying to figure out if she is my bfs or my ex bfs. The only time i had sex with my bf was 9 days before the took the pregnancy test and it did show up positive. i am 35 weeks (36 on friday) with that said ...what do you think...
well everybody, here is what happened....my mom had to take my sister to her 1st ob appt. today, which happens to be where i i go for prenatal as well....so my mom asked while she was there what they think i should do....due to the fact that i thought i might be leaking a very small amount of amniotic fluids....i didnt want to make a huge deal about it cuz there was not alot a fluid...but sure enough my mom called me and said they wanted me to go to L&D...sooooo...i went there and they hooked me up to the monitor....i was having some contactions....which as i have been saying i thought i was....and sure enough i was.....then 2 hours later they finaly checked to see if i actually was leaking fluids....and the swab nor the microscope showed any signs of amniotic fluid...which i was surprised because i did the whole lay down 20 min. to half hour and had a small quarter size amt. on the paper i had in my underwear....which is what my mom told the docs that pursuaded them to bring me in....they decided to check and see if i was dialating at all or anything and i was not dilating but.....he said my cervix is thinning and softning....sooooo....im not sure how much this says about how soon i will go...but it is progress towards labor i guess...my doc told me to keep my wed. appt. so they can check me again soooo....i dont know...guess we will see....

does anybody have any input on what this could mean for me....anybody experience this and go into labor soon....lets just say i feel bad cuz my mom is leaving for vactation sunday and is now debating on what to do....because i lost my plug last sunday with no blood....i have soft stools....some contractions...softning and thinning...etc. so now she is afraid to go away....i dont want her to not go because of me...but what are the chances i wont deliver anytime between now and the end of next week (the 17th)...

i know there is not much you can say for sure...but experience does help a lil...thanks!!!

10 hours ago my 27 month old daughter woke up vomiting. She has been throwing up constantly since then. I have just managed to get her to sleep. She has had no temperature since she woke and no rash. I have brought her to the doctor who diagnosed gastroentroitis (excuse spelling). I have managed to get her to drink juice but she always brings it back up within minutes. I am aware if she becomes dehydrated she will need a drip for fluids. Is there anything I can give her that will ease it. Any suggestions that have worked for you? She is also suffering from ear infections and is on antibiotic (klacid) for four days. Was on augmentin week before that. The ears are not as bad as they were.I know I cannot give her anything to eat, even though she begs for it at times! Can anyone give me some advice. I hate seeing her so ill. Thanks.

Im 39wks and 2 days..With my 3rd child, All the websites I've read, Said that usually 2nd time and subsequent moms don't usually 'drop' until their ready to go into labor..

Well, I think I have...My belly feels like it's sitting A LOT lower..In fact, If my belly wasn't still huge, and I didn't feel her kicking around in there, I'd swear I wasn't even pregnant...(before I was so uncomfy like my belly was pushing my boobs into my mouth) Lol..

Is it possible to 'drop' and NOT be going into labor, Or am I just in the early early stages of labor, And not realizing it?

I've lost pieces of my mucous plug (Just yesterday) and as of last week, I was dilated 2cm..The Dr. also said that the baby is in position, He said he could almost feel her head while doing my vaginal exam.

I have 2 kids, girl and a boy. My kids both took my great grandmother's middle and last name as part of their names. My daughter took Elizabeth as her middle name and my son got great grandmother's last name,Christian, as his first name. And this is my 3rd and final child and it's a girl. A few days ago I asked my mother, like I've done with everyone else around me, if she had any name suggestions. She told me she doesn't care what I use as a first name but she wants me to use her first name, Anita, as the middle name. At the time I said something to the effect of "yeah..ok...alright..." But I don't like the name, never have, and don't wish to use it. The thing about choosing a name is the combination and how it sounds together as a whole. I thought about having 2 middle names, but don't think it is necessary? Should I just tell her that this is my last child and I already used family names from her grandmother and I'd like to come up with a full name myself? Would that be rude?

Some people say you can be pregnant and have your period. I think if you had sex before your period and had a normal period that you are not pregnant. I think that the period "cleans" you out. So to speak. Espeically if that's the only period you have if you were trying to get pregnant. I had sex before my period and had a full period and then found out I was pregnant after my period a couple of weeks later. But I was trying to have a baby after my period. Just wondered what others thought.

My friend is 28 weeks along with twins and has been having real bad back pain and she is swallon up, I think she has Pre Clampsia. She has an appointment next Monday and she has not been to the doctors in a while so I know she is goign to get an ultrasound to see what she is having but anyways.

Seeing as she is carying twins I know she is going to go within 30-35 weeks and if she has pre clampsia then that just makes it a even higher chance of goign early, I had it when I was pregnant and they took my son 6 weeks early.

So is it possible she may end up having the babies this month? If she gives birth late this month or early next month how long do you thik the babies will be in the NICU?

I already told her they will likely most def be in the NICU and it may come to where she may be able to only take one home from the NICU while the other one may have to stay longer.

She has not been to the doctors since she was 16 weeks so what all are they going to do?
