Yes you can go without burping her and she will be okay. Burping is an old myth. (Do YOU need burping after every meal?) Congratulations on your new baby!

If she hasn't swallowed any air then she won't need a burp. If she seems fussy though a bit later on try for the burp again.
I couldn't get my baby to burp well either early on. (Tried the holding the chin like they teach in the hospital, laying over my leg, over my shoulder... everything I could think of.) I'd think she'd got all her burps out and then she'd suddenly cry or spit up all over the floor a few minutes after I put her down.
Whenever we were visiting my parents though my Mom would find another burp after I was done EVERY SINGLE TIME!!!
Mom had a trick of starting patting low on the baby's back with each pat a little higher up to her shoulders. She'd repeat this pattern to work the bubbles upwards.
Trust a Mom of three to know the tricks of the trade. It always worked like a charm! (Thanks Mom!!)
Congrats on your new baby! Take care

No because not long after you put her down she will puke up the bottle that you went to the trouble of giving her.
The burp is to get rid of the air she swallowed and will keep that air from pushing the milk up out of her stomach. Any kid who doesn't' swallow air and need burping is a miracle child and her parents should be delighted that they have avoided the burp nuisance. But you need to be sure she isn't lying there with a bloated stomach in some pain or that she wouldn't drink a healthier amount of milk if her stomach didn't have air in it. Even breast fed babies need burping.

Hi congrats on your new baby girl!!!. Sometimes they just don't need to burp. As long as she not crying or fussy then she is probably ok. But try this .....it worked for me after feeding her lay her on your lap and then sit her up fairly quickly with a few taps on her back. If she still doesn't burp that's ok too. But you definitely don't need to try burping her for 20 minutes it just a waste of time and as a new mom you are probably very tired and don't have alot of time to yourself. Try for 5 minutes if she burps great if not that's ok too. Good Luck with your new baby...try and get some rest for yourself too!!

I would not worry about it too much. Your baby might just be really good at feeding. I find that burping is all about technique. You do not have too smack your baby very hard. I found that the best way was to sit my baby upright and gently rub his back in circular motions. This was obviously very relaxing and caused him to immediately burp. Good luck.

If the baby does not burp after 15 minutes or so, then it has no gas and will be fine. You can also lay the bay over your lap and that works better with some babies.

My first born might nurse and then flow to sleep. If I placed him down without burping him first, he may be under pressure like your infant and can awaken too quickly. it somewhat is best to burp him notwithstanding if he has fallen asleep. he will relax extra user-friendly. i got here across that rubbing his returned extra and patting much less worked best. If he has been fed sufficient and you have burped him and placed him down, and he wakes and needs interest, do no longer feed him returned. supply him a pacifier. he's seeking to be soothed and sucking soothes him. He would opt for for the breast in spite of the undeniable fact that it somewhat is no longer because of the fact he's hungry. He only desires to suck and be soothed. Pacifiers are great as long as you do no longer over use them. try rubbing his returned mutually as he's on your shoulder or laying tummy down on your lap. This consistently have been given a burp out of my toddlers.

She should burp after having a bottle but if she doesn't, then keep her upright on your shoulder and continue to gently rub her back for at least 20 minutes. The pat-pat-patting, I think, annoys them after a while! Alternate between pats and rubs and this will help her milk to digest. If she doesn't burp, at least most of her food will have 'gone down'. Good luck.

You can't make her burp. If she doesn't want to then she doesn't need to.
I bottle fed both of my boys with expressed breastmilk (couldn't latch on) and my first burped in the middle and at the end of his feedings.
My second would get very mad if you tried to make him burp. We stopped trying and he did fine. He actually spit up less than my first.
Do what works for them! Good Luck!

if her need burping she burping! You use fancy bottle with no air pockets, she may no need be burped. Her just happy baby! If her need burping, her spit up a little to show her need it. If her not and you try and her doesn't, then she ok. No worries! :-D
