Pregnancy & Parenting - 29 October 2006

It's my little brother's daughter, and his wife passed away a few years ago. My niece is now 12 and since I'm the only adult female in her life that she can talk to, I was wondering if I would be totally out of place to tell her just what she needs to know for now.
She's asked me a few questions about that earlier, but I just try to avoid it for right now..... Should I ask my brothers permissino before I tell her anything??
I feel that she should get the REAL facts from someone that knows something about it, and someone that she can trust, and not from just some friend or an older girl at her school. I just want some advice........

I am going to the doctors this week. I have a knot that has become uncomfy the past three months (one year after my c-section). I hope nothing is wrong. I feel it under my skin like it's on the uterus itself. It becomes tender a couple of weeks before and a week after my cycle. I'm not certain what it is and if it's something they have to take out, how do they? I am scared of needles and being put under. Any ideas what it could be and how do they remove knots?! Thanks so much!

I am 8 weeks pregnant. I have two nieces and a nephew. My nephew is almost 4. My older niece is almost 2. My youngest niece is about 3 months. The older two love me, especially the little girl. She has been spending more time around me and wanting to be with me more. But the baby just hates me. When I hold her, she just screams and cries. My sister says it's b/c I'm pregnant. Is this true? Ok i just found out that my ex boyfriends ex girlfriend has a picture of my baby daughter. she is only wearing a diaper and she put it on her website. I know of people who have been enduced becasue they wanted to have their baby quicker. My aunt did, im almost 37 weeks and i didnt know if anyone here has been enduced earlier just becasue they wanted to be. or would their be risks or would it be fine?

Bedtime is 8 p.m. for my kids. However it is always a fight to get them there. When they are in bed they keep getting up. Sometimes they don't actually go to bed until 10 p.m. This time is supossed to be my time but by the time they are asleep I am too tired to take any time for myself. Any suggestions?
