Yes. a study proved that verbal abuse leaves an indelible mark in a child's personality. Psychologists say that It is even harder to "cure" than physical abuse. There are three things you can never get back: "spent time", "wasted oppotunities" and "spoken words". The verbal abuse may not only affect the child's personality but his lanbguage ability as well. In short all of his faculties.

It stunts every aspect of a child's development-social, physical, emotional...I should know. I was verbally abused and I've never gotten over it. I swore never to do it with my own child and I haven't.

I think video games do for some children.But verbal abuse just teaches verbal abuse.goes done the family to generartion after generation .Its a nasty ANGER problem that needs conseling or a hobby.
