I am 8 weeks pregnant. I have two nieces and a nephew. My nephew is almost 4. My older niece is almost 2. My youngest niece is about 3 months. The older two love me, especially the little girl. She has been spending more time around me and wanting to be with me more. But the baby just hates me. When I hold her, she just screams and cries. My sister says it's b/c I'm pregnant. Is this true? Can anyone shed some light on this?

Kids are more senstive to things and are in tuned with more. So yes they know your w/ child. I think its amazing because sometimes the first clue to being pregnant is a child talking about this baby in your belly even when you are merely weeks pregnant.

I am pregnant and I feel that a baby can sense that I am even young toddlers act differently now that I am pregnant. Not just your own children can sense. I feel that other kids can sense it too.

I am at a toss up on this one. My niece is months old and used to love me, I found out I was pregnant and now that we are 8 weeks pregnant she looks at me and screams and cries. at first I was heart broken but now that I keep reading I am wondering if it is a girl. I know its a wives tale but non the less sometimes they are true. I was talking to my best friend a few weeks ago and he said it and I thought nothing of it as she was fine,,,, lol I guess its all up to what we want to believe in right. to each their own...

I have heard that yes, they can sense it and that if you are having a girl little girls will cry around you cause they can feel the vibe coming off you. I know my cousin had first found out she was pregnant and my little cousin( he is a boy) would kick and scream when she was around, she ended up having a boy, and before we knew what we were having we walked into a restaurant and there was a little boy that was fine till we walked past him and he started screaming. So maybe your gonna have a girl??

Yes i think the baby does, your having a girl. when a infant senses your pregnant with a baby of the same sex they hate you, if you are having a baby of the oppsite sex they love you. That happen to me a male infant loves me to death i am having a girl. That's an old wise tale

I would say yes the baby and little kids knows.....Went I was pregnant with my son my niece was acting weird....not as much as my daugther in the beginning.....but everything went fine after a while.....my parent in law dog was freaking out .....always stuck close to me ...and trying to get on my lap ....(just mine not anyone else)....
so yes I do think they feel it

Are you kidding me? 3m old CANNOT UNDERSTAND YOU YET! And NO ONE, even kids, can sense you are pregnant at 8 weeks. Later on, some kids can sense it.

i believe they can sense it . . and i agree that animals can sense it, too . . .
just an extra . . . i have to disagree with "sassy" . . . opposite sex babies being attracted to you is not always true . . . when my mom was pregnant with me, she and my brother (who was 2 at the time) fought every day . . he even tried to hit her in the stomach one day . . . so i would say it differs from person to person . . .

this can happen also with animals especially cats that like to lay across your stomach due to feeling the baby move inside you before you can and it is also the glow and excitement you shed that people can pick up on so dont woory and enjoy.

No I don't think babies know... but maybe it's the bump that's making her uncomfortable.
Did the baby liked you before you were pregnant? It may be that you're not holding her comfortably. I dunno why but it seems that all babies hate me too ;). They cry whenever I pick them up.
