I have two sons, both circumsized. For my older son, it was a straightforward process and there were never any concerns afterward. For my younger son, we are having the same issue as you described. I recall the doctor saying that he was using a new technique that was supposed to create a "cleaner" line or something like that. Well, it looks like he has had only a partial circumcision. Our pediatrician said that he may grow into it, but come on. I don't think so. I'm scared to have it redone because of the pain. My father-in-law was circumsized later in life and recalls it being painful. We aren't sure what to do for our son either!!

I have a 12 month old ,., and I have to do that... I think that ah.... the whole thing has not caught up to its self... If you dont pull back the skin it gets stuck... ( OWWW) and the doctor gets to do it... yipee. If you have to pull it back a little that is normal.. but a lot .. you may need to have the peditrician look at this ... it migh be more skin than normal... do you know since you and I had our boys.. Hospitals in my area are not offering this service in the hospital... ???? and its considered cosmetic.... ???? I am in shock.... my son had it day two,... everythign went well . But I guess not any more. weird .. But I think its normal .. I have to do it also .. and my sons is normal.

Funny how people don't even DO ANY RESEARCH before they MUTILATE THEIR SONS!

It is called a loose circumcision. The skin is supposed to be there anyway. They leave more because there is no way to tell how large a man's penis will grow to be! Men with tight circumcisions often have painful erections, bent penises, dissapearing penis syndrome and hair on the shaft. Circumcision also can cause meteal stenosis.

Do not pull the skin back. Let it heal and the adhesions will dissolve later on, just as if you had never forcibly removed the most sensitive part of his penis! Just wipe it like a finger. Please google circumcision care before you cause you son even one more moment of agony.

BTW the person who cut their baby's penis because it waas ballooning, you were duped, that is a normal part of the separation process!

Also, guy who thinks women don't know about penises. We generally have contact with more than one in our lives, unlike the typical straight male.
Also, women don't get their gentials cut as infants, therefore have far more experience than the American male with the care of INTACT genitals!

As you are bathing him, push back the skin and wash the area. This can get infected if not cleaned regularly. As he gets older, tell him he must do this himself.

One of my sons was not circumsized and when he began to pee standing up, I noticed his penis swelled up. I had to have him circumsised. They say it is easier the earlier you have this done.

I have 2 sons 4 and 2, and they do not have that problem, did you speak to him doctor about this, they usually check that area to make sure it healed properly, bring it to their attention at his next well baby check

Some extra skin is not a bad thing and is very normal for a flaccid penis.

circumsize him. Apparently he wasn't if he still has the skin.
