Hello, I just want to really get a poll from the parents out there what would you do?
My son is in frist grade, he missed school Thursday and Friday of last week. (he was sick but feeling better now.) Monday was a student holiday, so Tuesday upon returning to school he had a subsitute teacher, he also had a sub today (Wednesday) apperently subtraction was studied on one or both of the days he was out. I am not sure if the sub was unware he was absent, simply didnt care or what (although his excuse was and still is in his folder.) I belive he was never taught the lessons he missed, and the missing assignments were never sent home, so i can teach him what he missed. It also seems to me that he was expected to simply do his work, without being taught the lessons, I belive this is not fair to him at all! What would you do?
(I work full time 10 hour days I am a single mom

I began dating Jeff when I was 15 and I fell in love with him fairly quick. We began having sex when we were 16 and I had what I thought was a close relationship with his mother. She knew that we were having sex and often teased up about overhearing us do it. To make a long story short I got pregnant soon after my 17th birthday. I was devistated because I was a junior in high school ,but I knew I had to own up to my responsiblity and I wanted to keep the baby. I thought that I would have support from Mrs. Wilson but I was wrong. She was upset b/c Jeff is getting looked at from colleges for football scholarships and she began voicing that I WANTED to get pregnant as a ploy to keep him with me. She began calling me a 's**t' 'whore' 'b***h' you name it! The last straw was when she tried to pay for me to get an abortion! I cursed her out and we almost fought! I have recently had Brianna and Jeff has been a very good father to her, but his mother is still a b***h to me! what should I do?

My wife and I are pregnant (finally). We are 2 months along and ever since week 2, my wife feels nauseous all the time--I mean all the time. Help! Is this common? (The Doctor says yes). Anyone else going through this? Will it eventually get better?

Well, my daughter just turned two and has to have her binky (pacifier). She doesn't use it all day at daycare but as soon as I pick her up, she asks for it. She also won't fall asleep at home without it, and if she does by accident, she wakes up in the middle of the night crying.... I know it is time to throw it out. The doctor says that it will start to affect her teeth and speech if she doesn't rid of it soon... But she is my last baby and I can't seem to make her throw it out... Any tips would be greatly appreciated.

When teenagers talk about I may be pregnant, I want a baby, I can just get an abortion etc...are they thinking about the baby, the LIFE, the way THEY were brought into this world? Unfortunalty today we have contraception etc. so they can just get rid of it like it was no big thing. A baby is a BLESSING. It is sad a lot of teenagers today don't realize that fro mthe beginning sex was a sacred thing for 2 people to show each other their love within marriage. What has it turned into? What is your opinion on this?

I'm a single mom of two small children. A 5 year old and a baby. How difficult did you find it to go to school full time? What were your biggest challenges and how did you overcome them? Please tell me about your experiences. Thanks

I just bought a new humidifier for my 4 month old, a Hunter Evaporative Humidifier, and I'm not sure whether or not it's working correctly. I used to own a Kenmore Warm Mist Humidifier, but they discontinued the filter for them. Anyways, with the Kenmore, I could feel the moisture it was putting out. This one feels as if a fan is blowing, neither warm nor cold. I did everything the directions asked about initial set-up, and let it run about 20 minutes on high. I don't feel any moisture. I'm also not sure whether it's a cool mist or what, because it doesn't specify. Is there any chance that it's working and I'm just expecting a different result?

i heard that if you are not on birth control and if you wonna do it anyway, you can take the morning after pill and it helps you from getting pregnant. is this true or not?

My husband and I are considering taking in a foster child or two. We live in California and have two bio children (ages 5 and 2-1/2).

We would only take kids younger then our youngest son.

A few things I am concerned about:
1. The expense - I know you get some money from the state to help, but I have no idea how much and if that would be enough to cover the expenses.
2. Would the bio mom (and/or dad) be allowed to come to my home for visitation in some situations? I'd be concerned about crime or exposing the children to inappropriate behavior.
3. Could I have children who speak only Spanish placed with me? I think that would be unfair to the child since I only speak English.

I am still afraid to let my kids play in the yard without watching over them. Maybe I'm an overprotective parent, but with all that has transpired lately in the news, I can't help but worry about them even though they are old enough to play on their own. Any thoughts?

I am 11 days late on my period. I have taken 2 pregnancy tests in the last 2 days, both were negative. I have no other symptoms other than being late, and I'm usually pretty regular.

At age three--the parents are blamed if their son is unruly in public.

At age seven--the parents are blamed if their daughter pushes a girl in school.

At age twelve--the parents are blamed if their son is bullying other kids.

At age sixteen--the parents are blamed if their daughter gets pregnant.

So my question is this when do we stop blaming parents and why is it that parents are always to blame? Is there a situation where the parents aren't to blame? If the parents are to blame all through a child's life--when they go into adulthood are they still to blame? When does the fault fall on the child instead of parents?
