My wife and I are pregnant (finally). We are 2 months along and ever since week 2, my wife feels nauseous all the time--I mean all the time. Help! Is this common? (The Doctor says yes). Anyone else going through this? Will it eventually get better?

YES this is extremely common! It's tough, I know! I was sick for the first 2-3 months of my pregnancy, and could barely function. I only went from the bed to the bathroom and back. It was really horrible, but it's amazing how one day you wake up, and you feel great! It most likely won't last past the 1st trimester, so relax. It'll get better! Keep lots of crackers in stock, as well as popsicles and jello. Those were about the only things that I could eat when I was in my 1st trimester. Just support your wife through this. It's hard on her, I'm sure, and she needs you to be there for her. Also, just so you know and don't worry about it later - it's completely normal for a woman to LOSE weight during this time, so if she loses a few pounds, don't stress it. It worried the hell out of me before I found out that it was very common. Best of luck to you, and congratulations!!! I'm sure you'll be wonderful parents.

In my last pregnancy I was the same way. I couldn't even go to work some days. Every thing around me made me nauseous. Finally when I couldn't take it no more my doctor subscribed a medicine and suppositories that help. It worked very well. But it does get much better around the 5and 6 month. If is causing to much of a problem ask the doctor for help.

This is very common. Most of the time this ends by the end of the 1st trimester, However it can last through the 2nd or even the 3rd. I am entering my 3rd trimester and still have all day sickness. Hopefully your wife will have more luck then me.

I did. It is terrible. Im now 18 weeks and Im am barely starting to get over it. I am still super fatigued and my body is achey. It is completely normal. THis is my 4th child and I was like this will all of them. I was sick from morning and even all night. If I would wake up at 3 am I would be naseous. Just do everything you can for her, because its a nightmare and it is sooooo frustrating for us to feel this way and not to be able to do the things we normally would want to do or need to do. Good Luck with that.

Yes you can feel nauseous at all times a day, and not keep any food down. Just keep her dehydrated, and make sure shes eating balanced meals. She does not necessarily have to eat a lot, just enough that she covers all food groups, vitamins and minerals.

I was nauseous for FIVE months straight.

I had to set out crackers and 7up on my nightstand every night so I could have them ready in the morning to calm my stomach before I could even get out of bed!
