I have a 1 year old with a rectal tempature of 101.3. How does a rectal tempature compare to tempature taken orally? Are there charts or can you just add 1 or subtract 1 to get the right answer. Please cite your source.

I am 5 weeks preg, but the ultra sound could not find a heart beat. Also the only other symptoms I have are slight tenderness of breasts and queasiness.I also have a bloated stomach .
Is this cause for concern ? can this turn to a miscarriage ?

I have a 14 yr old daughter who is in her first year of hs. Yesterday some information surfaced that has me very upset. She told me last night that she purchased speed from a girl at school and the girl is suppose to bring it in to her today. Her sister told us that she told her that she also took speed at the football game Friday night. Her father and her go together, apperatenly she went into the bathroom with a friend and took it. She said that she did tell her sister this, but it was a lie. Imagine that. Well anyway, I found out she has been on MySpace and I took a look at her message history and seen a message in which she was asking someone for pills back on 10/18. Her words "I love pot and pills." When I contfronted her, she told me that she is just so depressed that she wants to be dead and she never took the pills, but wanted to.She has an appt this am for bloodwork. She is normally a good studentand I am afraid that she will be suspended. Should I tell the school?

i am almost 15 years old and i have lost quite alot of weight latley i have gone form 10 1/2 stone to aboout 9 stone and my boobs have gone from a B cup to a A cup and i hate them now! Is there anything you can do to make them bigger in anyway at all? please help!! thanks

I am 22 years old. I am 5'1" and weighed right at 128 when I got pregnant. I am 10 1/2 weeks and have gained about 3 pounds. When should I start showing? I don't know when I need to get maternity clothes. Help! :)

What was the reason?

I'm asking because last night, my 9mo old daughter was vomiting insanely. Scared me to death. I gave her some mac n cheese. Was it that or some sort of virus? It seemed to happen after I gave her the mac n cheese. Need some experienced moms here.

I'm 5 weeks. When is too soon to start buying things? I know its way too soon to do it now! But when should you start? I know that if you start buying things too early there wont be anything to do later on during the pregnancy. Should I start after I find out what the baby's sex is? But I don't want to wait that long.. Lol.

We are both against abortion or atleast i thought i was before this happened. I feel like such a horrible person because i don't feel anything for this child that is mine and it is supposed to be the happiest moment of my life! We have discussed it over and over and there is no way she is going to abort. I understand her side but, the thing i can't stop thinking about is the fact that i feel nothing and because of our situation i will resent her and this child for ruining my life. WOW that sounds really selfish, i know, but, the thing is i want to be financially ready and mentally willing to have a nchild and that time is NOT now. What choice do i have?

This happened over a year ago, but it's bugging the hell out of me.

My brother lives out of town and this one weekend that he came to visit he brought his new girlfriend and her 4 year old son to visit. My brother's kids were pre-teens and he was taking them to see a horror movie. She just had to go so she left her so to play with mine. Here's my problem. This was the first time she'd met me or my mother and she left her son with us. I don't care who you are I am not going to leave my kid with a stranger. I even make sure to meet my son's teachers before schoo starts. is this a common practice...leaving kids with strangers?

I'm about 5 weeks pregnant, it's my first pregnancy and i find myself basically counting down each day as it goes. it seems like its going to take forver. What can I do to make it go a bit faster? Or at least keep my mind off it. It's all I think about and each day seems like 3 weeks. Then the day after I go to look up what stage the baby is at and I realise its at the same stage as it was the day before. What do I do? I think its driving me insane. Has anyone else ever felt like this??

She is on a routine, every day is the same. She takes her nap at noon, but always wakes up after 30 minutes for me to go in and put her down again. At nigh she is up several times again for me to go in and put her back down. I am at the end of my rope and don't know what to do. Is "cry it out" the only thing left? I never feed her or rock her to sleep. What can be wrong?

I was suppose to start on Oct. 10 or 11-I didn't and still haven't. I took a test on the 13 it was negative. The problem is I still feel as if I am going to start my period. I have some mild cramps almost everyday-nothing severe just like I'm fixing start-I go to the bathroom thinking I have and nothing. Last month I started taking Metformin and Spironolactone for questionable PCOS-however I have never been late for my period in 15 years it has always been on time. I did have unprotected sex a couple times last month. I was just needing some suggestions on what to do. THANKS to everyone that responds.

I have two girls, My oldest will be 4 in Jan. and she will not use the potty, just asking her to get on is a fight. My other Girl will be 2 in Jan. and every time you change her she wants to go on the potty, not that she does anything, but she has the idea kinda.I really want to put my older girl in school next Sept. but i dont think thats going to happen if she is not using the potty........Please help me, if anyone has had a stuborn child please let me know how you helped the traning along.....

I have heard over the years midwives and doctors saying women who are having their second child find birth easier and shorter.
The second time for me was 50x s worse than having my first child 1st time was drug free second time i was drugged up to the eye balls.
What are your experiences of birth the second and third time around did it get easier?
