I would check the information on the packet and if in any doubt check with whoever prescribed them. You usually start birth control pills on the first day of your period but if your periods are very irregular, your doctor may recommend starting them on a certain day but it has nothing to do with specific days but your cycle. The main thing is to mark when you started and try to take them at the same time every day at a time you will remember

It depends on what kind, if yours say to start on Sunday, then start on Sunday. That's usually the most convenient way to start for most people. If you are against starting on that day for some reason, ask the Dr. who prescribed them. However if yours are Sunday start and have the days of the week written by each pill, then it can cause confusion and you might end up missing pills if you start on a different day.

no you do not have to start pills on sunday, unless your doctor says so. usually those pills need to be started on the first day of your period.

Do whatever your doctor said. I can't remember the rule, but it has nothing to do with the day of the week, I think it has to do with your period. I think they say on Sunday just because it's the first day of the week.
