when i had a tour of the ob department in my hospital years ago a nurse said it was true (maybe she was joking???) but since then i've heard they've done studies and it is completely bogus

I have this friend that just had her second child, she refuses to let the child sleep for more than a few minutes at a time because she is afraid he will stop breathing. She wonders why he is so fussy, he's not getting and sleep!!! I have a 17 month old son, I wasn't that overprotective of him even tho SIDS scares me, but good grief. Should I tell her she is acting crazy or let it go? This kid is gonna grow up to be a hypochondriac!

My uterus is tilted backwards, so I am curious is there any specific position that would help inpregnat? Are there any suggestions on viatmins? My boyfriend & I want to have our first baby but we have been trying for nearly a year now & have had no luck. I have been pregnant before, so I am pretty sure I can still have kids.

Is 5 1/2 months too young for water, and if not, how much is okay to give? She loves ice water. My sister in law said she used dilute fruit juice, but her kids were older. We're still almost entirely breastfeeding, the idea is to keep her busy at the dinner table - and she seems to loves the accomplishment of drinking. I won't pump for this, and I'm reluctant to bother with formula unless it's what I should use.

I'm 15 weeks pregnant and my husband has been begging me to go do the whole haunted house thing with him this year. I'm scared that it will do something to harm my baby if I get too scared? Is there any reason to worry about this or should I just relent and go with him?

Currently my 1 month old is eating 4oz of formula per feeding (every 2-3 hours). I've had a few people ask me if I've started him on cereal yet....and that made me wonder how young some people start their infant on cereal.

When you are pregnant can you have a miscarriage anytime? Or is it from a certain month to another certain month? I hae heard it from like the first day you conceive up to about 4 months.. and then after that the baby comes out early. Is this true?? I am asking this becuz my Mom just found out she was preg. and all I have been thinking about is her having a miscarriage and I just want to know..? So, thank you if you answer it!

Most said I would not be able to wear my regular pants through my entire pregnancy. SO, my next question is? Where can I find LONG size maternity pants? Regular pants do not fit me, they look like high-waters. Thanks for all your help!

My 16 month old bit my neighbor's daughter. How can I stop this behavior? She tries to bite other children but I always manage to stop her in time. This time, I couldn't stop her in time and she bit my neighbor's child. I feel really, really terrible about it. I know that she's not able to use her words yet and biting is her way of dealing with things (not that it excuses her biting someone) but I don't want her to bite. How can I change this behavior? She's barely talking so she doesn't have the ability yet to express in words what she feels. She's otherwise very sweet and very loving. Thanks for the advice!

I don't want to spend a butt load of money on maternity pants. I wear a 36" inseam so pants for me would be really expansive, I have very long legs! If I buy one size larger in my regular jeans, would I fit into them the whole pregnancy? I've never been pregnant before. Has anybody managed to do this?

I hear you stop at around 12 mos but I want to make sure it's okay to start giving him milk at that time. I see that there are other formulas after the 12 mos stage. My baby just turned 11 months old.

She is 10, and has lots of problems. Her mother is neglectful, so I feel that she needs to be part of our family. I had a period on Sept 22-24th which was on time but it was lighter than normal..was supposed to ovulate on the 6th...i had sex that day. I have yet to have a period this month, my breast (especially around the nipples) hurt when touched and i am tired all the time, i have been having some light cramps as well. could i be pregnant? period was due on the 20th!!!!!
