I had trouble with diarrhea during my second month...It slowed down around the 9th week or so and now I seem to have the opposite problem. Be sure and tell your sis that she needs to let her doc know she is having diarrhea and that she needs to drink LOTS of fluids to help make up for the fluids she loses while she has the diarrhea.

Good luck to you both in your pregnancies!

Well, most women get constipated during pregnancy but, keep in mind that just because your sister is pregnant, it doesn't mean that everytime that she has bodily changes it is due to her pregnancy. She may have a virus or something.... Does she have any other symptoms? It may be something that she is eating. Maybe she could eat it before but, now ahe is with child, her body isn't processing it well. It may be a number of things. She needs to relay this to her physician and in the meantime keep herself hydrated because dehydration comes along with runny stools and your body looses alot of nutrients.

Yeah, I had that for about the first 3-4 months. Then it switched to constipation. It is normal. Probably just a reaction to the pregnancy hormones. Hope that helps :-)

It's not uncommon at all. The week I found out I was pregnant I had it and I thought it was because I was going to start my period. Every woman reacts differently to the changes going on inside her body and every pregnancy is different. Congrats to both of you!
