well, could you? I know weird question, but I heard that the only way semen can be washed away fully is if the guy takes a bath or shower.

okay, what if you DON'T have an intercourse, can the water still make the sperm go into your vagina? (i'm sorry I'm a little embarrassed to ask this.)

If the question is can sperm in bath water from ejaculation get you pregnant, the answer is no, unless that ejaculation happens to be inside or nearly inside your vagina. You can still get STDs from genital to genital contact in a tub, so this is not totally risk free activity, soap or no soap.

You mean if you have sex in a bathtub? Yes, you can get prenant that way. When a man ejaculates the sperm travel towards the uterus and fallopian tubes by way of mucous in your vagina. If you happen to be ovulating, the mucous is like a super-highway that makes it easier for the sperm to get up there. You cannot just wash the sperm away, once they are set free they travel through your mucous, which you cannot just wash out of yourself. There are some condoms that can be used in water and if you use a silicon lubricant, it won't be so sticky. Just check to make sure that the silicon lubricant is condom compatible. Some are and some aren't depending on what other ingredients are in it.

this is an odd one. ;) i mean if the guy releases sperm inside the vagina, you could get pregnant. but, sperm usually only lives outside the vagina for about 4 hours before they die. but semen can be washed away. i think water is needed, but a shower or bath isnt really required.

I think you need a little sex ed here.

When the guy is inside of you, and shoots his semen into you, it's a matter of minutes before it's beyond the reach of douches, bath water, etc. You could have sex in the Pacific Ocean and it wouldn't matter, even if all the water in the world washed up inside of you.

As you can see, the guy washing up, either before or after, won't affect that situation either.

Seriously... if you're having sex... you owe it to yourself to learn everything you can about sex and your body. Your health and happiness definitely depend on you making smart decisions here.
