Pregnancy & Parenting - 10 October 2006

My 19 month old's hair is out of control. When she was a baby I cut it bc it grew in uneven and was kind of thin is some places. Since then it is much fuller and even but still pretty short for a little girl. It's short enough where I can't really do anything with it and she doesn't like berrettes. I want it to grow in so people will stop confusing her for a boy. But since I stopped cutting, it seems unkempt and in her face alot. I DO NOT want to give her bangs...I hated those as a child.

So, does anyone else have this problem? What do I do with her hair in the meantime and will it eventually grow in so it looks more "girlie"?

Me and my b/f are going crazy!! She does this everyday. My daughter is eating stage 2 & 3 foods. She seems to favor fruits more than veggies but I'm trying to get her out of that because I don't want her having poor eating habits. She needs her vegetables. Anyway when I start to feed her her dinner, she will eat it just fine. After eating 25-50% of the food, she will start whining or crying. We don't understand why. If the food was nasty, she wouldn't start eating it in the first place so why start crying after halfway finishing her food? Is this her way of saying "okay I'm tired of eating this, I'm ready for my dessert/fruit now!" Because when I switch to give her fruit/dessert, she stops crying. I'm getting tired of this, she needs more veggies and the like. She even does this when I feed her chicken dinners. Anyone else has ideas on why she cries in the middle of her feeding? She does this no matter what I feed her, but doesn't whine or cry when feeding her fruits.

I have been feeling queezy but i do not throw up. My right breast has been hurting for a week my left one just started hurting,i have been sleeping a lot and been emotional for no real reason I have been having a weak stomach depending on the food I eat and like at school i eat the same thing everyday but itz like some days i can't eat it so i don't kno watz goin on. i asked the question what do with my 3 yr. old biter that is about to get kicked out of preschool? he started biting when he was 18mo to about 2 1/2. we tried EVERYTHING then. nothing worked. he fianally just stopped. he has not done this in about a year. and now that he has started again we don't know what to do. we have spanked, taken favorite things away, his daddy wore his tail out REAL GOOD (which hardly ever happens), made him bit soap, washed his mouth out. he got suspended for a week. next time it happens he is out for good. he said since he was "ugly" in the afternoon he does not have to go back to the afternoon part, and he can still go to his morning class. of course we exlpained that it doesn't work that way. my parents want to pick him up after preschool is over and him not go to the afternoon part. which is great, but will we be doing the wrong thing by taking him out of the situation instead of fixing it? or do i just wait untill he does it again?

What should the schedule for feeding a 10.5 month old be?
I feed mine every 2.5 hrs
Milk 5oz, then cereal with mild and some fruit, then lunch, then yougurt, then fruit or veggie and then cereal with either veggie or fruit
probably an oz of water
sleeps for 10 hrs at nite and takes two naps in the day about an hr each

my two year old has not has his shots since he was 6 months old, i never followed up on them, i was told myself that immunizations were not good for you, me my self dont have them all. but i see my son and he is getting sick alot, like colds, fevers and im thinking its cause hes not up to date with his shots, im going to take him to a clinic later on todaqy so he can get them all. what can i telll the doc when they ask how come you havent brought him in for so long?

So, who is all waiting until enough time has passed to take a test. When can you test? I think I am going to test on the 23, as it is our first month wedding aniversary, but the waiting game sucks. We could have cconcieved on Friday, or Sat. How long have you been trying?

I'm 11 weeks pregnant and I've been having problems with 'morning sickness' that lasts all day long. Well, I was handling it by eating crackers and sipping ice cold water but it's not working anymore. It's now to the point where ANYTHING & EVERYTHING I eat makes me sick to my stomach. I can't even drink water without feeling like I'm going to be sick. Any suggestions on what I can do? It's to the point that anything I eat makes me sick and not eating makes me sick. I go to the dr next week but any suggestions to get me through til then?

I have 3 kids a 7 yr old girl a 5 yr old girl and a 3 yr old boy. Ever since my 7 yr old was 2 years old she would either sit at my front door or at a window looking up to the sky and talking to herself when I would ask who she is talking to she would say family that where dead and she never meet them before. Now she will come home from school do her homework go to her room either look out the window or sit on her bed and carries on a full conversation when asked who she's talking to now she says I don't know. I brought this to the attention of my doctor when she was doing this at 2 and he said it's okay she has a imaginary friend, but now I need some advice. She also lies about pushing, hitting her siblings and blame the other sibling even though they didn't do it. My other children don't do this.Please HELP

Hi there, we are TTC baby #2. Thurs, friday and sat were my prime days. On friday morning, I felt slight cramping in the morning on the right side, which I assumed was ovulation, and we had sex, on Sat, I felt cramping on left side, we had sex, but it is now tuesday, and I stil have been having light cramping on and off, right now its more on the right side, but its just slight cramping, ever since friday. Was I wrong on when I thought I would ovulate. My cycles are 25 days and my last period was on September 27. We did the pillow under the bum thing both times also, but with my son, I never started the cramping until I was around 5-6 weeks. any thoughts? And please keep your fingers crossed for us, we are really wanting to give our little boy a sibling. Thank you for your time for reading, and answering my question. Muchly Appreciated.

My boyfriend out of nowhere started to say that i'm pregnant. His very sure of himself but i don't think i am. This morning i got a very bad pain like if i was getting my period but then it went away a brief moment after. Is this a normal pain? i've never felt it before my period. Almost a year ago I had a miscarriage, and had to undergo a DNC. There were complications during the surgery and I had to get transferred to another hospital because I was bleeding to death. I was out of it during most of this, but my boyfriend and mother had to deal with it all the surgeries I had that night to try to get it to stop without removing my ability to have children. I was lucky and they were able to slow it before the next surgery of completely removing my uterus. Now though it seems that he does not want to have another child, citing the cost and stress of more children, (we each of one of our own). He told me before the reason he had bought the house with three bedrooms (he’s son lives with his mother) is because he wanted more children and had broken up with his previous girlfriend because she did not. Do you think he is afraid of what may happen or that he has really changed his mind although now he has a job that pays him twice then when I was pregnant? Thanks.

Can the thought/worry of pregnancy actually cause blue veins and stretch marks to pop up on sore heavy breasts in someone who is not actually pregnant? (and stay for weeks?) This is in addition to many other early pregnancy symptoms... (freq urination, nasal congestion, headaches, bloating, food cravings, emotions, fatigue). And for the record, I have not been trying to get pregnant, and do not want to be pregnant.

i aint due to get my period until the weekend but i have been really sick(not always being sick, mostly just feeling it) for 11 days now and i am also dead tired. my boobs hurt a wee bit too.
i took a test yesterday but was negative(i think that just may be that as i aint due until the weekend it wouldnt work)
but can you get morning sickness at such an early stage?
and can i be pregnant?
