He is 4 years old and will use the toilet to pee but he simply refuses to poop in it. His parents (my uncle and aunt) don't seem to be having much luck and not for lack of trying. They've tried bribes, having him sit there, and removing toys when he dosen't. As I've said before he will pee in the toilet so we know he's no afraid of it but at 4 he should be getting close to using it regulary I'd think.

We have been married almost 3 years, and we keep setting dates to start trying for kids. But everytime we reach that date, my husband comes up with another reason why we shouldn't. He says he's not scared to have kids, he just wants to make sure we're financially ready. But when are you ever ready? We have insurance, he makes good money at his job, and I make decent at mine. How can I convince him that it is time? I'm not on birth control and we do not use condoms (he pulls out), so apparently he's not THAT worried about it. What can I do to just give him that added "push"? Any advice you can offer would be helpful. Thanks.

Why do you think this is? Is it because of fertility treatments or just nature? It is kinda interesting.

ok so i have been trying to get pregnant for the last 2 years since my mc and have had no luck...till maybe now.. i haven't had a full period since the week of june 3-7 and in july all i did was spot once in the morning for 2 days.; since then i haven't bled or anything... for me normal signs of pregnancy don't apply as i experience them when i'm about to start... however i have never been so hungry all the time like i am now and on top of that i can only get like 5 hours of sleep before i wake up wanting food. is this a possiblity? could i finally have my dream come true? if you don't have a serious answer then please don't respond

I have a 7 month old boy who has only ever slept through the night (at least 10pm til 6am) for the period of one week! He weighs 24lb and is 76cm tall so he's a big boy, and I just put it down to the fact that he is hungry? He is eating a normal balanced diet and having about a pint of Cow and Gate baby milk a day. He uses a dummy just as and when he wants soothing but not religiously.
Its not that he wakes up and is wide awake, he doesnt even open his eyes he just cries, I just give him a bottle and off to sleep he goes again, but he is waking for a feed twice a night and after 7 months I'm dead on my feet!
Any tried and tested tips? Can't just leave him to cry as I have a four and a five year old who need their sleep too!
Help :o)

Please help. If ever the medical and insurance industries have confused me, it is now.

My doctor has prescribed me an Ultrascreen (Nuchal Translucency). He performs this test in his office. Other insurance companies cover the procedure when he does the test, but my insurance company will not cover him to do the test.

When I contacted my insurance company, they indicated to me that, in order for them to cover the test, the clinician must be credentialed with the Nuchal Translucency Quality Review Program. When I looked at the site, one physician in my entire county in metro NY (densely populated) is credentialed according to the NTQR.

Is this my insurance company being difficult or can most sonographers in OB offices do this test?

My doctor does this test in his office. My friend had this test done by her doctor - AND her doctor is not listed on this NTQR Web site.

I just don't know what to believe.

We just took the front rail off of our twin 2-year old children's cribs. Now we have a problem of them getting up in the middle of the night (usually because they dropped their blankets/security bear), or they just fall out of bed and we find them sleeping on the floor in the morning.

Any ideas? The crib doesn't have a way to attach a smaller rail to keep them from falling off.

I've been taking clomid for three months now. Will be starting my 4th month tomorrow. My first 2months on this were 50mg's. My doctor increased it to 100 mg's last month due to low progesterone. Same thing happended this month my progesterone was LOWER than before. So, this month he increased it to 150 mgs. Has anyone experienced this, what will happen next if I have low progesterone. I know it means that the clomid isn't working.

I went to the doc. the other day and was told that I was soft, up close and thinning out, but no dilation yet. He said that I am ready to go all I need to do is dilate and get started. Well I have been walking and have been having sex and cleaning..lol. I have contractions everyday about 30 min apart and not that bad either. However, today I have felt like I have more discharge, no blood or anything bu it is wetting my underware and my walls to my vagina feel really sore and lots of pressure. Im still having the contractions about 30 min. apart and nothing that bad but I cant hardly walk because its so sore down there. He is already in position and his head is already down there so I know that dilation is all thats left. Does this sound like I am dilating to you? Does it sound like it will be much longer? I have an appointment tomorrow but I was just wondering till then if anyone felt like this before they went into labor. Thanks for all your help!

I have 2 kids, my youngest is 13 months...

With my first child, I admit I was sad.
I was sad because nobody told me your body does a 180, and that it looks TOTALLY different (for most women) after you have kids. (stretchmarks, droopy skin, ect.)
I was sad because I excusively breastfed (no formula or bottles of expressed milk) and would have to go 3 or 4 nights in a row without so much as a 20 minute catnap. (my hubby worked OTR)
I was sad because family wasn't available to help ect...
Then when I finished breastfeeding I was sad because everyone who praised breastfeeding failed to tell me my breasts would be reduced to drooping flaps of skin, once I weaned.

BUT I WAS NEVER DEPRESSED, I never felt disconnected from my own children, I never felt angry, and I just don't see how anyone could.

Do you think post partum depression is REAL, or do you think it is just ungrateful, selfish women feeling sorry for themselves and making excuses?

My son started going to sleep by himself thanks to the Ferber Method when he was about 8 months old. I was able to put him to bed, and he would play or talk to himself until he fell asleep. Now he is 11 months old and about a month ago he started wailing when I put him to bed and walked out of the room. He has NEVER slept all night. I do not feed him during the night anymore, but I do have to get up, get him out of bed and rock him back to sleep because my 4 year old daughters room is right beside his. I cant have both of them up during the night. Some nights he refuses to go back to sleep and I am up with him for hours on end. WHAT CAN I DO. I am desparate for a decent nights sleep. PLEASE HELP!! He only takes one nap during the day in the mornings for about 2 hours. He wakes about 7-7:30 and naps from 10-10:30 to 12-12:30. So I know it is not because he sleeps too much during the day.
