My breasts have been tender for over a week now. Can anyone that has had this happen to them tell me exactly what it feels like? How soon these symptoms occur?

Yes! Tender breasts CAN be a sign of pregnancy. But not always. They can be a PMS symptom as well. They just feel sore and tender to the touch. If you only have sore breasts as a symptom I would not say for sure that it's pregnancy. It could be something else. The tenderness can appear within a couple weeks.

The amount of pregnancy symptoms is different for every woman. Many women experience them within days of conception, others take a few weeks before pregnancy symptoms kick in and a lucky few feel no discomfort at all.

Breasts may be very tender, swollen and start to enlarge. Many times the veins within the breast will become more visible. Your nipples may start to darken in color, become more erect and be extremely sensitive. These symptoms are due to increasing amount of HCG hormone that begins at implantation.

Other syptoms include nausia and/or vomiting, freaquent urination, feeling tired or sluggish, light bleeding, dizziness, constipation, irritability, and heartburn...

you may expirence all or none of the symptoms. Take a pregnancy test to be sure. If it comes out negative take another just in case because sometimes they are wrong.

If you still show symptoms and the test still come out negative see your doctor to ease your worries and see what's going on..

No matter the outcome just rmember things will be ok. Although the symptoms can be uncomfortable in the end it's always worth it!

When you're pregnant, your breasts get sore. Really sore. Like when you put a bra on or take it off, it really hurts to do so. It's like your breasts are aching and hurt to touch. However, sometimes this happens when you're just getting ready to start your period too. If you are more then one week late for your period and your breasts are sore, then you should take an early pregnancy test. There are some cheaper brands out there now, that work just as good. I bought one awhile back at the pharmacy inside of Kaiser and I got two tests for only 9.95. Good luck!

Tender breasts can be a "sign" of anything...A sign that you're period is on it's way, a sign that you have an infection, a sign that you're going to need a slightly bigger bra soon. Pregnancy is only ONE reason breasts get tender.

Well I would suggest to do a pregnancy test. However most people get tender breasts at PMS too. If you don't get your period soon then I would suggest the pregnancy test.

Go get a preg test. Tender breasts/swollen breasts are a sign of PMS, as well!

When I was pregnant, by breasts were so tender, it hurt to go down the stairs. That's one way I knew I was pregnant. Any little thing that would even make them jiggle a little was painful. Don't worry, it goes away after a while.

Definitely! That is how I knew I was pregnant with my first...you should do a home pregnancy test to know for sure though. Everyone's bodies are different and each pregnancy (and their symptoms) may be different too. Best to be sure with the test and then go to your OB.

Yes, it is a sign of pregnancy. The best way to decribe it is they are tender to the touch. Almost painful and uncomfortable to wear a bra.

It was one of my first signs of pregnancy. Well when I first got pregnant (I already knew I was pregnant before I took a test), mines hurt really bad and my nipple was to sore to touch. It went on for a couple weeks, but then it went away.

But it is also a sign of PMS :-)
