I have been with my now husband for almost 12 years and we will be married for 3 years tomorrow. I actually wrote a couple months ago because my husband kept coming up with the same reason for not wanting a baby, "Cant afford it". Well I took some of the advice and tried not to push him.
Well, I had a long talk with my hubby and I finally got him to understand how much it meant to me and that I thought we were ready for the next step and an addition to our family. So we decided to start trying that night!! Since I was on the pill for between 6 and 7 years and have been off of for 3 yrs now how long might it take?
My husbands aunt said that she was on BC for 7 yrs and it took 7 yrs for her to conceive her 1st and was on BC for 4 yrs after that and it took another 4 yrs for her 2nd. Do you think that will be the same case for us?

Sorry, I have a couple questions all put into one paragraph. Just needing advice!!

For those of you who have had miscarriages, if you miscarry do you usually bleed right away when it happens. Or can it take a while for your body to bleed it out. Also how long after the baby stops growing would it take for the hormone to leave your body?

Ok, I was in the hosp. yesterday and they said that the cervix was thick, and closed. But they said my fluid was low. now they called today, (the doc's) and want me to come in on thurs. and have it checd again. I am 36 weeks going in to 37 does anyone know what this all means?

Hi, I'm a 17 old senior high school student in Canada, and I was wondering what job positions there are in pregnancy and adoption services? What education and experience do I need to obtain one of these positions in the future?

I have assisted in the adoption of my brother, and well as assisted friends through their adoption. I would love to continue being able to help people through things like this, but on a more professional level.

i just found out i was pregnant i am 9 weeks and i am kind of scared because i am only 17 and the house i live in now my whole family lives there and my sisters son. besides when i have this child i want me and its father to both be living together so that we can be a family the problem is me being so young it is really hard to find a good paying job. i work at togos right now but i was hoping some of you knew where i could look for financial housing assistance please help

Me and my husband are planning on having kids in the future. Not any time soon, within the next few years or so. However, we do talk about what method we're going to use as discipline when we do have kids. My husband believes in spanking because his parents' spaked him when he was a child but I am COMPLETELY against it, and my parents never used it on me or any of my siblings. How can me and my husband compromise on this? I don't want to hear people tell me, you should spank yuor kids, it's good for them, because no matter what anyone says, I will never be okay with it. I am firm in my beliefs, but is there a way that me and him can both be happy? If not, how do I convince him that I'm not down with it?

I will be watching a 3 year old boy from 6-7 will his mom and baby sister are in the other room. Basically I just need to keep him occupied will his sister gets therapy. I am a very experienced 16 yr old. What do you think fair pay is? She asked and I said I dont care, so she said we will just discuss it tonight. Parents, maybe you could tell what you would pay? Babysitters? Also do you know any games or things for a 3 yr old. I am used to either babysitting older kids, or babies. Anything helps thanks!

Implantation bleeding... I was on BC for 2 and 1/2 years and stopped taking them at the end of the pack (not including the last week) on July 2 had my period on August 2. I had unprotected sex like normal (I didn't expect to get pregnant but if it happened it happened). Then on Aug. 30th I would have gotten my period but since I just came off BC I guess I didn't but I took a HPT and it was negative. Then on Oct. 3rd I got crampy and started spotting brownish w/ some pink and red, only when I wipe not. This went on for about 3-4 days. Now my question is was that my period and it was light like that b/c it was my first since my BC or was it implantation bleeding. Before BC I had a very normal period. Serious answers only!!

I am due in less then two weeks and I am living 250 miles away from the baby's father. I live in WI and am curious as to how far he can take the baby. Any ideas about who could help me with this? I also have concerns about him takeing the baby while I am breast feeding. It is a 3 hour drive to his house from mine and I don't know if I will be able to supply enough milk for a weekend or something like that.

My daughter will be 4 in a couple of months, and she still sucks her thumb. I tried a pacifier when she was little, but about 6-7 months she would spit it out, and started sucking her thumb.
I've tried rewarding her with stickers, and fingernail polish. ( She loves to have her nails painted). I've tried embarrassing her, & scolding her when she sucks thumb, and nothing seems too work!
I don't know what else to do!
